Dori is a four-star Electro character in Genshin Impact that had got released in the new 3.0 update of Sumeru. Dori has a very lackluster and underwhelming kit overall and is in a tough position in the game as of now, since, there are far better alternatives, such as Shinobu or Beidou who are also four-stars, that can easily provide better support capabilities than Dori. Nevertheless, since the Dendro element and reactions have just been introduced in Genshin Impact, and the fact that she has just been released in this latest Sumeru 3.0 update, there is a possibility that she may be utilized better in later update patches with new playable characters added in-game. How Dori should be played to utilize its max potential

Dori is best utilized as support with her main kit capabilities being her Elemental Burst. Dori’s Alcazarzaray’s Exactitude would restore HP, regenerate Electro, and have nearby party members be infused with Electro within a range of the lamp.

As a dedicated Healing and Electro support, Dori grants the most value to any main DPS, who is rotationally on the field and can benefit from her consistent healing and flat energy gain. As long as the main damage dealer can trigger any form of Electro reaction, Dori can lower her cooldown on her Elemental Skill, which allows her to spam her skill more frequently.

Best Team Compositions for Dori in Genshin Impact

1. Quicken/Mono-Electro Team

In both Mono-Electro and Quicken team composition, they rely on Dori as a healer and an energy battery. With a Mono-Electro comp, Dori is often paired with an Electro DPS like Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko and Keqing and adds the Double Electro Resonance. In a Quicken team, a Dendro DPS is relied upon such as Tighnari, often times paired with another Dendro character that acts as a support, i.e. Collei or Dendro Traveler, and provides a Double Dendro Resonance.

In either case of the comp, an Anemo Character can act as a support for crowd control and buff Elemental Reactions, such as Kazuha or Sucrose. For these comps, Dori does not do anything unique specifically besides providing quick swap particles with her Elemental Skill and maintains her Elemental Burst Uptime. 

• Electro Resonance
  • High Voltage: The skills will be affected by Hydro for 40% less time. Superconduct, Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Quicken, Aggravate or Hyperbloom have a 100% chance to generate an Electro Elemental Particle (CD: 5s).

• Dendro Resonance
  • Sprawling Greenery: Elemental Mastery is increased by 50. After triggering Burning, Quicken, or Bloom reactions, all nearby party members would gain 30 Elemental Mastery for 6 s. After triggering Aggravate, Spread, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon reactions, all nearby party members gain 20 Elemental Mastery for 6s. The duration of the aforementioned effects will be counted independently.

2. Eula Super-conduct Team

Dori can be added in the Eula Super-conduct comp with Raiden Shogun by Dori, providing a greater energy battery for Eula’s high energy cost Elemental Burst.  Usually, the fourth slot is inter-changeable by either inserting a Shield character like Zhongli or adding Rosaria for a Double Cryo Resonance.

• Double Cryo Resonance
  • Shattering Ice: Affected by Electro for 40% less time. The skill increases the CRIT Rate against enemies that are Frozen or affected by Cryo by 15%.

3. Taser/Bloom Team

For this team, Electro-Charged and Bloom/Hydrobloom are the main Elemental reactions. A hydro DPS such as Ayato or Targtaglia acts as the main damage dealer in the party. A Dendro support character is used to carry out Bloom reactions such as Dendro Traveller, Collei, or even Tighnari. Kazuha acts as a buffer to the team for the elemental reactions and can gather the Dendro Cores that are produced by Bloom Reactions.

In a standard Taser/Hydrobloom composition, Dori rotates best with Main DPS who maintains a few seconds of rotations for her Elemental Skill particle generation. As a result, both Targtaglia and Ayato can fall under this category and can easily maintain movable distance to her burst due to their melee stances. Since both of them are Main DPS, their build does not heavily prioritize Energy Recharge, making Dori’s particle generation naturally assist the rotations.
