One of the great things about an Adventure RPG is the ability to assemble the crew. On Genshin Impact, one can expand their roster by making wishes, a gacha system that we have addressed in the beginners’ guide. This tutorial explains how to get seven characters for free, without spending special wishes in Genshin Impact. In this guide, we have brought a tutorial for players to unlock enough characters to spare on the roster. Without further ado, let’s get into the seven characters and how to get them in the game.
Genshin Impact: List of seven free characters in-game
1. Traveller Twins – Anemo or Geo
Upon the start of the game, you will be able to choose between one of the two brothers. They will always show special cutscenes and events, even out of your party. They start using Anemo, the power of wind, but as the game progresses, players can switch to the Geo variant. However, they aren’t really good but are considered 5-stars.
2. Amber – Pyro
Although she is considered the worst character of all available on the roster, players can unlock Amber pretty easily. After the game starts, one should just walk towards the objectives pinned on the map and you will encounter her. Her fire powers are very good for setting traps in the game since you can throw her a bomb or fire an incendiary arrow. For the game start, she is a good pair for the Anemo Traveller.
3. Kaeya – Cryo
The third free character who comes upon the completion of a quest to stop a mysterious storm is Kaeya. Players can complete the quest just by following the natural course of the game, so don’t worry. After getting the glider, players are introduced to the Knights and from there, players go to some temples. The second temple unlocks Kaeya. As one might expect, he isn’t very good but does a decent job for the game start.
4. Lisa – Electro
Following the story, on the third temple, players receive Lisa, an Electro magician. She isn’t very strong either for the future but is a good magician to use. Her skills can jump around on wet enemies, so with Amber and Kaeya, players can keep them in place and clear camps quickly.
5. Noelle – Geo
Noelle is one of the lower-tier DPS and supports just like the others that appeared until now. Players can get here easily by using the gacha system and using 8 normal wishes. 6. Barbara – Hydro
Barbara is one of the best Healers in the game. For the latest state of meta characters in the game, please refer to our Tier List. Players can get her for free, if they create their account before November 11, 2020, when the 1.1 Patch is scheduled to come. If they have done so, one will receive her, upon reaching level 20 by the in-game mail. 7. Xiangling – Pyro
Also upon reaching Adventure level 20, players do unlock Spiral Abyss. From there, if players do get to floor 3, chamber 3, they will unlock Xiangling. She is also one of the best DPS to have at the party, so grind their way to level 20, so that they can get her and Barbara on your adventures.
