EA set to introduce Icon Batistuta and several new Heroes for FC Mobile 26 in 2026

With the breakout of the new year in 2026. there have been leaks for some brand-new heroes and a new Icon in this season of FC Mobile is just around the corner, and there have already been leaks about the new batch of Icons and Heroes who could be making their debut in the game. After the return of Zlatan Ibrahimović as the game’s latest Icon, EA has shocked us by teasing the name of Gabriel Batistuta, better known as Batigol, as the latest icon and several more heroes in FC Mobile 26.

As we know, Icons are retired professionals and some of the greatest footballers of all time. On the other hand, Heroes introduced in the previous season consisted of retired players who had lit up the streets with their skills but couldn’t get the status of being an Icon.

Gabriel Batistuta as an Icon and more heroes like Juninho, Micah Richards return to EA Sports FC Mobile 26

In a sudden announcement, EA revealed the former Argentine goal-machine, Gabriel Batistuta, is arriving as the game’s new icon.

Icons

  • Gabriel Batistuta: Gabriel Batistuta was a legendary Argentine striker known as Batigol, famous for his prolific goals for clubs like Fiorentina and Roma, and the Argentina national team. He has won multiple Copa Américas and an Italian Serie A title with Roma. One of Argentina’s all-time top scorers, he held the record for most World Cup goals for Argentina (10), scoring in three different World Cups before retiring in 2005.

Heroes

  • Gilberto Silva: A core member of Arsenal’s legendary “Invincibles” team, Gilberto was the central defensive midfielder (Nicknamed “The Invisible Wall”) who won the 2002 World Cup along with the Copa América in 2007 and the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2005 and 2009.
  • Micah Richards: The very popular football pundit for broadcasters like BBC and Sky Sports, Micah was one of the breakout young prodigies in football in the right-back/centre-back role, who achieved significant success with Manchester City, winning the Premier League and FA Cup, and became England’s youngest-ever defender at 18.
  • Juninho: Widely considered the greatest free-kick taker of all time, Juninho was renowned for his unique “knuckleball” technique and registered the highest number of free-kick goals in history (77). Having spent 8 years at the French club Olympique Lyon, the Brazilian captained the team and won an incredible seven consecutive Ligue 1 titles from 2002 to 2008.

With the above lineup of Icons and Heroes, it’s needless to say, players and fans alike are waiting for their arrival in-game.
