EA has messed up yet another FIFA Mobile update, this time with the UTOTS bug arriving on the way. This bug, for a short while, gifted the users with top cards and the highest rewards for each pull. With this, the community has expressed their dissatisfaction with the issue that should have been avoided.
The bug gifted players with the top rewards every pull
The highly anticipated Ultimate Team of the Season (UTOTS) players were released last night during the reset at 12:30 am IST. Among the various packs available to players, there was a pack that offered a chance to obtain UTOTS players for a cost of 20 UTOTS points. However, the acquisition of guaranteed UTOTS players would require an investment of at least 2000 UTOTS points.
However, a glitch within the game offered the top UTOTS players the highest available coin rewards for every purchase the player made. For example, players received a whopping 300 million coins alongside the top picks, such as Haaland, Rashford, and other UTOTS cards every pull. This issue persisted for a minimum of 30 minutes, extending until 1 am.

During this time, players who took advantage of the pack were granted UTOTS players without any cost and received coin rewards beyond what was typically expected. Many accumulated billions of coins in their accounts, and to avoid inflation in the market, it has been closed.
The community was enraged at the poor display of handling
When the event went live, many players did take advantage of the broken system implemented, expressing delight. But soon after, the community was enraged because of the bug, for different reasons of course, as the bug is something that will affect the ones who did not exploit the situation.

Many users on social media were quick enough to vent their frustrations. Few of them listed out the current problems the game has, with the maintenance fixing a few.

Sadly, the grind the players did to assemble a top team quickly got wasted as this bug helped almost everyone who attempted the pack during the bug period to create a high OVR squad. Well, this just adds to the frustrations more.
The glitch got fixed, but not the broken hearts
Currently, the glitch has been fixed, but the market is still downhill. Players might be feeling a bit disappointed after what has happened, especially the ones who were offline during the glitch period, and most importantly, will face the wrath of the market being harsh on them from those who have plenty of coins.

On a serious note, this is a shambolic display of handling from EA. There is a clear lack of effective communication along with a delayed response in communicating with the players. We do not know what will happen with those who took advantage of the bug, we can only wait for now.
