Genshin Impact always prepares a steady stream of events for players to participate in. Leaks reveal that Hoyoverse is planning on the “Across The Wilderness” event for the upcoming Genshin Impact version 3.3. Many of these events take place in domains like Hyakunin Ikki and Misty Dungeon. Some events like the Golden Apple Archipelago in versions 1.6 and 2.8 even feature entire new regions to explore.
Events like Three Realms Gateway Offering in version 2.5 lets players explore an alternate version of a pre-existing map, in this case, Enkanomiya. There have also been events where players are sent to various corners of the map to perform activities, like Outside The Canvas, Inside The Lens.

Across The Wilderness is an event where players will have to travel all over the map and collect balloons. The event will send players to Mondstadt, the Alcor (Beidou’s ship), Port Ormos, Aaru Village, and the Valley of Dahri. It is no surprise that three out of the five locations are from Sumeru since it is the most recently released region of Teyvat.
Collecting a certain number of balloons will reward Primogems. Collecting all balloons is not required to obtain the maximum reward. Players can attempt the challenge in a 2-person co-op if they wish. This event should be easy for players who own Anemo characters such as Venti, Xiao, and Kazuha since all of them allow great aerial mobility.
The best Anemo character for this event would probably be the soon-to-be-released Wanderer, who has the ability to float midair and dash. He has the vertical mobility of Venti and Kazuha, as well as the horizontal mobility of Xiao. he is going to be the premier choice for overworld exploration in the future.
It is no surprise that the Across The Wilderness event coincides with Wanderer’s release. Players who pull for him will get to enjoy his superior mobility during this event, and players who were not planning to pull for him will find a reason to do so. Across The Wilderness is looking like a really fun event. It also seems very easy, so players should rest assured that they will be obtaining Primogems without having to work super hard.
