Genshin Impact “The Exquisite Night Chimes” Version 3.4 Phase 2: Character and weapon banners

New banners announced for Phase 2!

After the end of the Phase 1 banner in the current update, Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Phase 2 will be released. On the 7th of February, 2023, the players will be able to access the event banners which are “Moment of Bloom”, “Discerner of Enigmas” and “Epitome Invocation”. The wishes event will be running from February 7, 2023, all the way up to February 28, 2023. In this article, we will discuss the character and weapon banners of the Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Update in Phase 2.

Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Phase 2 First Character Banner: Moment of Bloom

For the first featured banner, “Moment of Bloom”,  one of the fan-favourite pyro polearm-wielding Hu Tao will be having a comeback banner. She is one of the earlier characters presented in Liyue that has numerous side quests linked to her.

Hu Tao is even considered the current fifth most popular female character that has been polled in the Chinese servers of the game. With this popularity as being both strong and cute, the banner is sure to be a relief for people, who that wanted a Hu Tao banner for quite a bit.

“Fragrance in Thaw” Hu Tao will be receiving a  huge drop rate boost in the duration of the banner. Hu Tao, in this banner, will come along with the other  4* characters “Juvenile Galant” Xingqiu (Dendro/polearm), “Eclipsing Star” Ningguang (Geo/polearm), and “Uncrowned Lord of the Ocean” Beidou (Pyro/claymore), who will also receive a huge drop-rate boost.

Currently, all of these 4* characters Xingqui, Ningguang, and Beidou are available in the standard wish banner, Wanderlust Invocation, without any boost in drop rates. This means that although they are available at any time if the players are planning to grab these characters, there is no better time to pull and wish than the Moment of Bloom Banner.

Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Phase 2 Second Character Banner: Discerner of Enigmas

Next up is the second banner “Discerner of Enigmas”. The banner is featuring a rerun of another fan-favourite female character “Night Orchid” Yelan (Hydro/Bow),  She has been released around 7 months ago in Version 2.7 Update. “Night Orchid” Yelan will be receiving a huge pull rate boost when wishing in this banner.

Yelan has been a fan favourite, especially to the cosplay community of the game, as being one of the most cosplayed characters in the game along with Eula, Traveller, Diluc, and more. Such an appeal will surely make the banner for people that have missed her prior banner and have been waiting for a re-run.

Additionally, Yelan will come along with the same other 4* characters from the Moment of Bloom Banner  “Juvenile Galant” Xingqiu (Dendro/polearm), “Eclipsing Star” Ningguang (Geo/polearm), and “Uncrowned Lord of the Ocean” Beidou(Pyro/claymore), who will also receive a huge drop-rate boost.

Lastly, the weapon banner of Version 3.4 phase 2 will be featuring the rerun of Hu Tao’s signature best-in-slot 5* weapon Staff of Homa (Polearm), as well as another rerun of Yelan’s signature best-in-slot 5* weapon, Aqua Simultacra (Bow). Both of them will be receiving a significant drop rate boost.

The banner will also be featuring the event-exclusive 4-star weapon Lithic Blade (Claymore), as well as other 4-star weapons like the Favonius (Sword), Favonius Codex (Catalyst), Rust (Bow), and Dragon’s Bane (Polearm). All of them will be receiving a huge drop rate boost. Among these weapons, the Lithic Bladed will not be available in the Standard Wish Banner.

However, the Favonius (Sword), Favonius Codex (Catalyst), Rust (Bow), and Dragon’s Bane (Polearm) are all permanently available in the Standard Wish, Wanderlust Invocation banner just, without any boosted drop rates.

Final Verdict: Should players go for the banners

Character banners

The character banners featured in the Version 3.4 Update Phase 2 in Genshin Impact have two of the top fan-favourite characters out there in Genshin Impact. First, we will be talking about Yelan. She is currently one of the strongest sub-DPS characters in the game. She is a strong hydro bow user that has huge damage potential with her abilities, especially when paired with electro and/or cryo with a huge possible AOE damage burst, when paired with strong DPS characters, especially with Raiden Shogun. Additionally, she is currently considered an SS+ tier sub-DPS character in the current patch of Genshin Impact. Knowing this, when finding a very good sub-DPS character to add to your team, then pulling for Yelan is truly worth it. Otherwise, if you have good sub-DPS characters in your team like Kazuha, players can skip the banner.

The next key character to look into for the next banner is arguably one of the most famous DPS characters in the game on Hu Tao. When thinking of the best DPS character, it would be wrong to not include Hu Tao in the discussion. With her passive being active, she is easily one of the top 3 DPS characters to get if possible. Along with Ganyu and Raiden Shogun. She is the most effective when partnered with shielding supports like Zhongli, Diona, and the such. In order to know if it is worth pulling for Hu Tao, players must check their team if they already have a solid DPS machine that mows down enemies, or even builds decent damage machines like Xiao and Diluc. If you have less than 2, then it is surely worth pulling for Hu Tao, especially if they have shielding supports.

Last to see in the character banners are the 4-star characters which are, “Uncrowned Lord of the Ocean” Beidou(Pyro/claymore), “Eclipsing Star” Ningguang (Geo/polearm), and “Juvenile Galant” Xingqiu (Dendro/polearm). Xinqui is considered one of the best, if not the best sub-DPS 4-star characters, which is almost even on par with Yelan. Even without pulling Yelan, players getting a constellation for Xingqiu is great. Ningguang is also still a solid option as a support or even DPS, when not having a built one yet. Lastly, even though Beidou has fallen out of favour in the current meta, she is still a pretty fun and interesting character that when used properly is on par with other DPS characters.

Weapon banner

For the weapon banner, it is much simpler as there is only one banner to look at with two of the most perfect weapons to accompany the character banners. One of the 5-star weapons to look at would be the Staff of Homa. Having the Staff of Homa, especially Hu Tao will increase her damage potential greatly. It is her story item which is why its stats, and passive is perfectly tailored and suited for her kit. Pull for the weapon, if they are trying to get a staff of Homa for Hu Tao.

Like the Aqua Simulacra like the Staff of Homa, this weapon is the story-wise accurate weapon that Yelan is using. This is also the reason it is tailor-made to suit her skill needs. Knowing this, it would be smart to choose this as your path and pull for it if you have a Yelan in your team.
