Starting from the Patch 1.7.40 Update in Mobile Legends, the developers at MOONTON Games are aiming to nerf down the overpowered heroes like Yve, Leomord, and Wanwan in some situations, as well as buffing the likes of Valentina, Minotaur, and more. This Patch Update will also bring Arlott into the midst, who is a new Unique-type Fighter hero. These adjustments will be worked upon in the Advanced Server before they officially make their way into the Original Server.
New Hero: Arlott
Arlott is one of the newest heroes to be introduced in the world of Mobile Legends, he is a fighter hero with a unique-type blink, CC, and AoE. Let us break down his abilities.
Abilities
Passive – Demon Gaze (Buff)
It is a very unique passive of Arlott. Whenever enemy heroes are in front of Arlott (hidden enemies in the bush are excluded), they will be exposed by his crowd control effect every 10 seconds. Arlott will find their weakness, and a critical hit is guaranteed if he hits them with his skill 2 for 5 seconds. When the enemies are exposed to his skill, they will glow in red, which will help Arlott to cast his skill.
Skill 1 – Dauntless Strike (CC, AoE)
CD – 8/7.4/6.8/6.2/5.6/5
Mana – 50/55/60/65/70/75
Arlott slashes his lance in a specific direction, slowing enemies by 40% for 2 seconds while dealing 200 (+60% Total Physical Attack) /240/280/320/360/400 physical damage. The best part of the skill is that enemies on the outside will be stunned for 1 second, while enemies on the inside will be stunned for a short period of time. So now if the enemies are exposed by Arlott’s passive and he stuns them, he can dash multiple times by using his second skill.
Skill 2 – Vengeance (Damage, Blink)
CD – 12/11.6/11.2/10.8/10.4/10
Mana – 40
This is a dash/escape skill for Arlott. Upon casting, Arlott will dash in a designated direction while dealing 100 (+40% Total Physical Attack)/140/180/220/260/300 physical damage. Enemies who are marked by his passive (demon gaze) will receive a critical strike, and Vengeance will be reset immediately. He can mark multiple enemies with his passive, so it will help Arlott dash consecutively by using his second skill.
Skill 3 – Final Slash (CC, AoE)
CD – 20/18/16
Mana – 10/120/140
Arlott splits his lance, directing all of his enemies to his right side and inflicting 400 (+60% total physical attack)/600/800 physical damage. You can even use it to move enemies across the wall. Upon casting this skill, enemies will be marked by Demon Gaze, so Arlott can use his skill 2 freely.
Mobile Legends Patch 1.7.40 Update: Hero Adjustments
Karrie (Buffed)
In the current patch, Karrie’s gameplay is very restricted with little room for error. Therefore, the developers are decreasing her cooldown to make her more viable.
Skill 2 (↑)
Cooldown: 5-3s >> 4.5-2.5s
Ultimate (↑)
Cooldown: 40s >> 30s
Mathilda (Buffed)
The developers are reverting part of the previous nerfs.
Skill 1 (↑)
- Base Damage: 375-600 >> 350-625
- Damage decay: 15% >> 20%
Skill 2 (↑)
- Cooldown: 16-13s >> 15-12s
- Shield value on self: 500-800 >> 500-1000
- Shield Granted to Allies: 70% >> 60%
Claude (Adjusted)
The developers have realized that the new equipment is synergizing with more than just Claude’s ultimate. Therefore, the developers are nerfing his damage, but also reverting the previous nerfs to his ultimate.
Passive (↓)
- “Dexter” Basic Attack Damage: 20 +35% Total Physical Attack >> 20 +20% Total Physical Attack
- “Dexter” Attack Effects triggered by Ultimate: 35% >> 20%
Ultimate (↑)
Triggered Attack Effects Damage: 55% >> 66%
Minotaur (Buffed)
The developers want Minotaur to use his ultimate more often, so the developers have increased his Rage gain.
Passive (↑)
Rage gained from damaging heroes is slightly increased.
Ultimate (↑)
Rage Gain: 3 >> 4 times
Clint (Adjusted)
Clint’s ultimate was mostly just used to trigger his passive. The developers have optimized Grenade Bombardment’s width to make it easier to land. At the same time, they have changed Grenade Bombardment’s cooldown to make it in line with Double Shot.

Base Damage: 100 >> 50
Ultimate (↑)
- Range: 5.5 >> 7
- Bullet radius: 0.85 >> 1
Fanny (Buffed)
The developers have decided to buff Fanny’s base damage again.
Skill 1 (↑)
Base Damage: 320-545 >> 320-570
Valentina (Buffed)
After adjusting the cast range of Valentina’s ultimate, the developers had a much harder time stealing desired abilities. The developers are slightly tuning back this change.

Cast Range: 6 >> 6.5
Leomord (Nerfed)
Leomord’s mobility has exceeded our expectations, so the developers are slightly tuning down Skill 2’s cooldown.

Yve (Nerfed)
Yve’s ability to pressure her opponent has been a bit too strong since her mana cost buff, so the developers are reverting this change.

The developers have slightly decreased the frequency of Skill 1 to allow for more counterplay.
