Mobile Legends Patch Update 1.6.08: Marksmen Buff, Penetration Nerf, and more

Valir is getting his much needed buff

Mobile Legends Bang Bang is an ever-growing community of players, professionals, artists, celebrities, and fans. As this sensational MOBA game continues to develop, more heroes and adjustments keep being introduced to make sure everyone is having a fun time. In this latest Mobile Legends patch 1.6.08 update in the Advanced Server, developers are aiming to release a ton of new content for the current as well as the upcoming season. Major changes will be made specially to Marksmen, to increase their popularity by buffing their ability in the Gold Lane as well as specific Marksmen as Junglers.

Hero adjustments


Sun can constantly harass his enemies with his Dopplegangers, so enemies will gain rewards for killing Dopplegangers. However some adjustments are being made to adjust the current rewards due to unfair values. 

  • EXP rewards are reduced for killing Dopplegangers
  • Gold rewards in mid and late game are slightly increased


Mobile Legends Valir

Valir is rarely picked due to his inability to clear lanes as fast as other Mages. This patch introduces a new mechanic to his Skill 1 that will allow him to clear the minion wave quicker. Make sure to read our Valir guide before the patch arrives.

  • Skill 1
    • New effect: Killing Minions and Creeps with Skill 1 also grants a charge


Alpha’s attributes and cooldowns are buffed to increase his popularity.

  • Base Physical Defense: 20 → 25
  • Skill 2 Cooldown: 7s-4s → 6s-4s


Fanny is given a damage boost to make up for her energy nerf in the last adjustment.

  • Skill 1
    • Base Damage: 280-480 → 320-520
    • Total Physical Attack Bonus: 90% → 80%


Kaja should be more of a Fighter than a Mage, so his sustainability is increased in this patch.

  • Base Physical Defense: 16 → 21
  • Passive
    • New effect: Enhanced Basic Attack restores HP
  • Skill 1
    • New effect: Damaging Minions also reduces the Passive’s cooldown by 0.3s.
  • Ultimate
    • Removed the Magic Defense boost


Harley’s nerf to Skill 1 was slightly excessive, and has been reverted to a certain degree in this patch

  • Skill 1
    • Base Damage: 120-200 -> 130-210

Some changes are made to Pharsa’s passive damage scaling and Skill 2 cooldown to make her scale better into the mid and late game.

  • Passive
    • Magic Power Bonus: 80% → 100%
  • Skill 2
    • Cooldown: 5.5s → 5s


Balmond’s HP regeneration has been nerfed in this Mobile Legends 1.6.08 patch update as his previous adjustment exceeded expectations

  • Passive
    • Max HP Restoration after Minion or Creep Kills: 8% → 5%


Adjustments are made to her Passive cooldowns

  • Cooldown reduction for Skill 1&2:  1s → 1.5s


Kimmy receives some nerfs to Magic Power Bonus from the previous patch

  • Initial Magic Power Bonus: 24% → 23%
  • Magic Power Bonus: 24%-29% → 23%-28%
  • Reduced the skill’s width (already applied in the previous patch)


Rules for refunding cooldown upon interruption are optimized

  • Ultimate
    • Upon interruption by a control skill, the cooldown is refunded according to the remaining Galactic Power, 3% for each stack. 


Aulus’ passive is slightly nerfed for balancing

  • Passive
    • Movement Speed Boost at Max Stacks: 20% → 15%

Natan’s Build and Emblems are greatly restricted after the removal of the penetration conversion, so some conversion is returned in this Mobile Legends 1.6.08 patch update. The Ultimate casting experience is also optimized.

  • Passive
    • Natan can convert his Physical Penetration to Magic Penetration at a rate of 50%
  • Ultimate
    • Slightly reduced the cast range
    • Slightly reduced the cancellation distance
    • New effectL Refunds cooldown according to the remaining skill duration

Revamped Odette (From September Season)

Odette’s Skill 2 is revamped to be a better match for her Passive and Ultimate

  • Skill 2 [Revamped]
    • Odette releases magic energy balls forward, each dealing Magic Damage and immobilizing the enemy hit. Another energy ball will then spawn and attack a nearby enemy )prioritizes enemy heroes), dealing Magic Damage and immobilizing them. 


Clint’s laning ability is increased but damage is reduced.

  • Skill 1
    • Total Physical Attack Bonus: 95% → 85%
    • Subsequent Bullet Damage: The last four bullets deal 11%-21% of the initial damage → the 2nd bullet deals 30%-55% of the initial damage, while the 3rd to 5th deal 5% of the initial damage.
  • Basic Attack
    • Optimized the control experience
    • Attack Range: 4.5 → 4.8
  • Enhanced Basic Attack
    • Optimized the control experience


Moskov is given major updates to range, Skill cost, and Damage.

  • Basic Attack
    • Attack Range: 4.2 → 4.4
    • Fixed an issue where the enhanced Basic Attack’s attack range is slightly lower than normal Basic Attacks’.
  • Skill 1
    • Mana Cost: 60-85 → 45-70
  • Skill 2
    • Skill Range: 4.2 → 4.4
    • Initial Damage: 140-240 +40% Total Physical Attack → 400-550 +60% Total Physical Attack
    • Extra Damage: 210-360 +60% Total Physical Attack → 200-275 +30% Total Physical Attack
    • Stun durations when the target collides with the enemy heroes/obstacles are unified to 1.5s.
  • Ultimate
    • Enemies behind the primary target will also be slowed.
    • Slow effect: 80% for 0.8s → 30%-90% for 1.5s (scales with flying distance)


This Marksman is receiving buffs to range and speed after a while.

  • Basic Attack
    • Attack range: 4.9 → 5.2
    • Fixed an issue where Irithel’s damage was lower when she attacked while moving. Irithel will now keep auto-attacking while moving.
  • Skill 2
    • Increased the cast speed.
    • Skill range increased by 20%


Hanabi is receiving some balancing adjustments to her Skills 1 and 2 in this Mobile Legends 1.6.08 patch update.

  • Skill 1
    • First Bounce’s Damage Ratio: 50% → 40%
  • Skill 2
    • Cooldown: 12s-7s → 8s-6s
    • Base Damage: 400-500 → 450-600
    • Fixed an issue where the damage was lower than described against enemy heroes.
    • Fixed an issue where the damage was doubled against summoned objects.
  • Ultimate
    • Base Damage: 400-600 → 600-800

    • Attack range 4.6 → 4.9
    • Damage: 130% Total Physical Attack + 30* Hero Level → 140% Total Physical Attack + 35* Hero Level
  • Ultimate
    • Damage per Stack: 170-290 + 90% Extra Physical Attack → 102-174 +54% Extra Physical Attack
  • Passive
    • Abyss Mark can no longer be applied to Creeps.


  • Skill 1
    • The sphere will stop upon hitting an enemy hero.
  • Ultimate
    • Lightwheel’s Damage Ratio: 50%-56% → 55%-65%


  • Passive
    • Extra Damage against enemies with all Weaknesses hit: 30% → 40%
  • Ultimate
    • Base Damage: 60-90 → 55-85


Claude’s laning ability is to be increased, but Jungling speed will be taken in compensation.

  • Skill 1
    • Hitting a Creep no longer grants double extra attributes
    • Max Stacks: 10 → 5
    • Effect per Stack: 2%-4% → 3%-6%

Yu Zhong

Ranged heroes are given more room to react against Yu Zhong, but his damage increases at close range.

  • Skill 1
    • Base Damage: 200-380 → 250-400
  • Ultimate
    • Removed he knockback effect in the Black Dragon form


Chou’s basic mechanics are kept the same, but Ranged heroes are given more time to react against him. Chou’s ability to cross obstacles is increased.

  • Skill 1
    • Shunpo’s cooldown is only reset when the 3rd cast hits an enemy hero
    • Fixed an issue where the indicator range did not match the actual range
    • Optimized the Blink Distance determiner so Chou can now cross wider obstacles

  • Skill 1
    • HP Restoration: 200-400 +80% Magic Power → 125-200 + 60% Magic Power + 5% of Lost HP
  • Skill 2
    • Magic Power Bonus: 120% → 90%
  • Ultimate
    • Number of casts: 5 → 2
    • New effect: After the Lantern evolves, also briefly silences enemies that are hit. 
    • Damage: 200-260 +40% Magic Power → 300-390 + 60% Magic Power
    • HP Restoration: 200-260 +20% Magic Power → 500-650 + 50% Magic Power


Aamon’s current skill set still has more room for adjustments. 

  • Passive
    • New effect: At max Passive stacks, the next Basic Attack automatically shoots all Malefic Blades at the target, dealing damage.
    • New effect: Upon dealing damage, Malefic Blades will leave Demonic Blades on the ground, which can be picked up by Aamon for stacks.
  • Ultimate
    • Combined the operations for entering the Invisible state and dealing damage to one.

Revamped Kagura

Adjustments to Kagura’s Skill 1 and Ultimate greatly increased her overall damage, so it is being updated in this Mobile Legends 1.6.08 patch update. 

  • Skill 1
    • Base Damage: 330-605 → 330-540
  • Ultimate
    • Base Damage when with Seimei Umbrella: 260-400 → 360-500
    • Second Attack’s Damage when without Seimei Umbrella: 450-650 +180% Magic Power → 400-600 + 145% Magic Power
    • Fixed an issue where the damage dealt when without Seimei Umbrella was lower in certain cases.


Mathilda MLBB Mobile Legends 1.6.08 patch update

Developers wish to give players a greater chance to react to Mathilda.

  • Ultimate
    • The dash no longer locks on to the enemy, but to their initial location.


  • Passive
    • Cooldown Reduction for Skill 1&2: 1s → 1.5s

Battlefield Adjustments


  • Hunter Strike
    • Max Movement Speed Boost: 60% → 50%
    • Cooldown: 10s → 8s
  • War Axe
    • Movement Speed Boost at Max Stacks: 20% →  15%
  • Genius Wand
    • Magic Penetration: 12 → 10
  • Arcane Boots
    • Magic Penetration: 12 → 10


  • Lolita can directly cast Flicker while charging for her Ultimate

Battle Spells (From September Season)

  • Regen
    • Restoration effect will not be interrupted by Minions’ and Creeps’ attacks
  • Flicker
    • Blink distance: 3.8 → 3.5
    • Cooldown: 120s → 105s


  • Custom Marksman emblem
    • Changed the second talent of the second tier: Mastery (CD Reduction +5%) → Agility (Movement Speed +6%)

Other changes

Through the following adjustments, we want to give some Tanks appropriate jungling ability and reduce most Marksmen’s Jungling ability without affecting most of the other heroes’ current jungling speed to add variety to current hero selections.

  • Increased Creeps’ HP by a certain percentage
  • Damage dealt by Jungling Footwear’s [Hunter] will also increase with the hero’s Max HP.
  • Non-Marksmen can deal increased damage through [Hunter]
  • Outer Turret’s Damage Reduction against ranged attacks when the Energy Shield is active: 60% → 30%

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the interruption effect of Alpha’s Ultimate’s airborne was different from that of the other airborne
  • Fixed an issue where using Blink skills while shooting the sixth bullet would cause Granger’s Passive to lose effect
  • Fixed an issue where the skill effect was displayed incorrectly when Jimmy used Skill 1 while transformed
