The annual product launch event from NetEase Games has been premiered on the 20th of May, 2021. The event of NetEase Connect 2021 has announced 4 new and upcoming games. This comes along with the new updates of some completely new titles. Just like the Annual Product Launch in 2020, NetEase Games has announced a few new titles for the first time and several content updates. This is the first time the event has been hosted in English. In this article, we will see the summary of these completely new titles and future content updates.
Popular titles showcased during NetEase Connect 2021
1. Infinite Lagrange
Sci-fi grand space simulation game Infinite Lagrange was made available for both mobile devices and PC in Europe as of the 21st of April, 2021. The game will be launched in the Americas for the countries of the United States, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Brazil from the 2nd of June, 2022. This will apply to both mobile devices and PCs.
2. Onmyoji: The World
A new spinoff of the Onmyoji series, Onmyoji: The World is set to support cross-play between different platforms. The original games from the series have been downloaded by hundreds of millions of players worldwide since 2016. This spinoff promises to be a truly revolutionary work in terms of story-telling and fantastic graphics where players take up the role of the role of onmyoji, who roam and fight in between worlds with shikigami.
3. Frostpunk: Rise of City
The BAFTA-nominated game from 11 Bit Studios which has started the society survival game, NetEase Games has recently released a mobile version of Frostpunk. Players will lead a group of people through a freezing post-apocalyptic landscape and manage the left-over city. With tough decisions to make to ensure survival and growth, the workforce will try to allocate to health care, resource management, research and brute forces of nature.
4. Vikingard
A casual simulation RPG mobile game of Vikingard has been announced which features the age of Viking. With the poor harvest and the Scandinavian winter coming up, it is now time to take control of command to save the village. One needs to reclaim land, start growing crops, preside over trials, and brawl with warriors in Viking Style! It will come to mobile devices in late 2021!
5. Lost Light
An exciting trailer for Lost Light was revealed, an upcoming mobile shooter has gone into beta in Australia and New Zealand. It is now time to join the āFireflyā squad to unveil the sinister plot behind the lockdown zone! It gives you the two options of going into stealth mode to look for supplies or the option to go out with all the guns blazing, similar to a warlord. You get options to gear firearms and upgrading weapons. Keep enemies away from yourselves and build your own base. The game plays immense attention to detail and contains a player-driven economy.
6. Racing Master
NetEase Games has also teamed up with Codemasters and announced a new, cross-platform authentic racing game in the form of Racing Master. Developed using the UE4 engine and Codemastersā proprietary EGO technology, players will experience authentic racing in cities around the world with dozens of hyper-realistic cars from the reputable brands of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Koenigsegg, and Aston Martin.
7. EVE Echoes
Moving on, Eve Echoes, the popular sandbox MMO which was launched last year has gone through a substantial number of updates which has enhanced the user experience. A long-demanded PvP and PvE content update will release in June 2021, which will also include advanced Tier 10 ships and huge Capital Ships. Players will now be able to explore the unknown reaches of Nihilus Space and explore the hidden treasures and technologies.
8. Identity V
One of NetEase Games’ most popular titles, Identity V is the first asymmetrical multiplayer mobile horror game that has released a new trailer of the Identity V X Death Note crossover event. The event is set to release on the date of May 27th, 2021. The set of popular characters from the Death Note crossover, Ryuk/Light Yagami/Misa Amane/L will enter the scene. “Time of Reunion”, a major content update is also set to release in 2021.
9. LifeAfter
On its second anniversary on PC and mobile, The Lead Producer of LifeAfter, Xiaochen has shared some interesting insights on the 200 million players in this mode. The new season 3 has also introduced multiple major updates, including enhanced graphics. This includes huge seamless maps, realistic season changes and natural disasters such as volcanic eruption and typhoons.
10. Astracraft
The real-time sandbox adventure game of Astracraft lets you build and customize your own robots and lead them into battle. A newly available game mode “Ride to Arms” is set to be added to Astracraft.
11. Badlanders
As a part of the NetEase Connect 2021 launch event featuring the release of many updates and new games, a new map featuring a desert landscape and new weapons and attachments has been announced in the Badlanders. Scavengers fight for treasure and glory upon the ruins of a once-great civilization.
12. Project Ragnarƶk
A new strategy MMORPG has been based on Norse Pantheon mythology and Ragnarƶk Lore. It allows players to explore the historic realms on their own terms. Supporting cross-play between PC and mobile devices, the trailer features several new characters, enemies, combat and magic abilities as well as new environments and gameplay features.
13. My School Simulator
My School Simulator is an online school life simulation game, which features multiple customisable editors. Players can wish to live their own school life, roam with anyone and anyhow they wish for. The event takes place in this fictional Japanese style city campus.
