PMIS 2020 Finals: TSM-Entity crowned as India’s PUBG Mobile Champions

PUBG Mobile India Series, one of the biggest Indian eSports events with a massive prize pool of over 50 lakh INR, just ended with TSM Entity getting the crown of the champions. The previous and first champion of this tournament was Team SouL, who withdrew their name from this tournament just before the quarter-finals. Team TSM – Entity won the 2nd and the latest version of the PMIS 2020 finals with a big impact and got the big prize money of 20 lakh INR, while team Fnatic came 2nd followed by team MayHem, who came 3rd.

PMIS 2020 Finals: As it happened

PMIS 2020 was an open-to-all tournament. In-game qualifiers took place in June, where many teams from all over India participated in the hope of becoming the next big PUBG Mobile team in India. More than 500 teams selected from the qualifiers. The finals took place on the 4th and 5th of July. It was an online event due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. A total of 12 games were played in these two days. Here are all the match winners:

Points Table

TSM-Entity won by a comfortable gap of 27 points, as they finished with 177 points. Team Fnatic came 2nd with 150 points, just beating 3rd placed Team Mayhem by 6 points. There was also a big gap of 29 points between the 3rd and 4th placed teams. UMumba Esports and Team VST-VXT tied with 115 points, but UMumba finished on a higher rank because of their higher kill count.

Big teams like OrangeRock and Celtz failed to perform according to their standards, as they were ranked at 11 & 12 respectively.

Kill Leaders

As expected, Jonathan from TSM-Entity topped the kill leaderboard with 27 kills and 4460 damage.

TSM-Entity bagged the title of the ‘most popular squad among the community’ as they won People’s Choice Award.

The Grenadiers

As you can guess from the name, the squad with maximum grenade kills won the ‘Grenadiers’ award, which in this case was Team OrangeRock with 4 successful nade kills.

The Exterminator

The squad with maximum no. of kills was TSM-Entity as expected, they bagged a total of 77 kills in the 12 match-tournament.

Headshot Expert

Jonathan Amaral aka TSMentJONATHAN, who we ranked at No.1 in our Best PUBG Mobile players of India list, won the ‘Headshot Expert‘ title with a total of 8 headshots.

The wanderer

Another TSM-Entity player, TSMenNeyoo won the ‘Wanderer’ award as he travelled the most distance in the tournament.
