Amazon Prime Video has unveiled a visual treat for all gaming lovers as Secret Level, a brand-new series featuring original stories in the worlds of beloved games has been announced. Set to make its debut on the platform on December 10th, 2024, the announcement and the teaser trailer were unveiled at the gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live.
Secret Level will have a total of 15 episodes featuring some of the most iconic video games
SECRET LEVEL is an upcoming new adult-animated anthology series that will explore original stories set in the worlds of some of the most iconic video games. Secret Level is created by Tim Miller, who also takes on the role of executive producer. Dave Wilson joins him as an executive producer and supervising director.
Since this series is developed by the same creative team behind Love, Death & Robots (stylized as LOVE, DEATH + ROBOTS), another anthology series focusing on multi-genre storytelling, Secret Level is shaping up to capture that same level of praise and excitement.
Now, let us jump into the interesting side of the announcement, video games. As mentioned before, the stories draw inspiration from a wide range of popular games. With the series featuring 15 episodes, each will be dedicated to celebrating games and the gaming community while focusing on one game at a time.
The games included are Armored Core, Concord, Crossfire, Dungeons & Dragons, Exodus, Mega Man, New World: Aeternum, PAC-MAN, several PlayStation Studios titles, Sifu, Spelunky, The Outer Worlds, and Unreal Tournament. Now, for mobile gamers, you can see two familiar names included in Honor of Kings and Warhammer 40,000.
