gamescom 2024 has arrived on the scene, running from Wednesday, August 21 to Sunday, August 25 in Germany. As the world’s biggest video games event, it didn’t just shine a spotlight on massive titles for consoles and PC as mobile gaming also took center stage with some thrilling news and announcements. In this article, we’ll dive into the mobile game showcases that were revealed during the Opening Night Live at gamescom 2024.

1. Infinity Nikki

The open-world adventure developed by InFold Games, Infinity Nikki is the fifth installment in the beloved Nikki series of games. Announced back in 2022, it will make its debut on PC, PS5, PS4, Android, and iOS devices as confirmed in the event. With the global closed beta test now announced, the game is also available for you to pre-register.

2. Monument Valley 3

ustwo games is bringing the third iteration of their hit Monument Valley franchise. The original and first game celebrated its 10th anniversary this April 2024 and alongside Monument Valley 2, will be arriving on Netflix Games, offering fans a chance to revisit or experience these iconic puzzle games before the Monument Valley 3 debuts on December 10, 2024.

3. Delta Force

The Delta Force: Hawk Ops also got featured in the gameplay showcase was revealed, as a PC Early Access is set to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2024. The game, which is inching closer to a September release in China will arrive across Mobile, PC, and Console platforms.

4. Squid Game Unleashed

Arriving as a Netflix Games-exclusive, the Squid Game-inspired title Squid Game Unleashed got its announcement trailer unveiled as well. The trailer stays true to the original series, offering an extravagant reveal of the mini-games players can expect. The intriguing art style, which is both unique and visually soothing, adds a fresh feeling, so it is surely looking to be a blockbuster when it arrives.

5. Dark and Darker Mobile

Dark and Darker Mobile revealed its pre-registration trailer on the opening night, showcasing what’s in store for the players. Well, it was primarily cinematic with little gameplay shown, it was packed with action and storytelling throughout its four-minute run. 6. Floatopia

NetEase Games unveiled Floatopia, a whimsical life simulation game, set to launch in 2025 for consoles, PC, and mobile, lets you explore floating islands, use superpowers, and connect with friends. The world premiere trailer showcased the game’s charming features and unique adventures. Pre-registration is available now at the official website

7. HoYoverse Games

Alongside the previously mentioned showcases, HoYoverse had a strong presence at the event, featuring gameplay showcases that grabbed the spotlight.

Genshin Impact wowed fans with a Natlan gameplay showcase, and the big news is that Genshin is finally coming to Xbox later this year, with wishlists now live.

There was interesting news unveiled for fans of two of its other titles: Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail. Honkai Star Rail announced a crossover with Fate/Stay Night, Studio Deen’s anime series which is set to launch in Q3 2025.

Zenless Zone Zero introduced characters from Version 1.1 and gave fans a first look at a brand-new region for Version 1.2. This new update will serve as the backdrop for the next chapter in the game’s story.
