This surely is a motivating factor to push towards new features, and Squad Busters China version is seemingly doing the same, by testing a brand-new 5v5 game mode.

The 5v5 game mode might be Squad Busters’ key for the Esports featuring
So, from the official announcement made by the Squad Busters team on Weibo, they will be holding a test for players in China that will commence on the 30th of July, 2024. In the promotional images, what caught my attention were the explained features, including the traditional 4-minute gameplay and rules. However, the 5v5 mode, described as the “world’s first test,” particularly interested me.
Well, this is a clear indication that this is a new and potentially experimental game mode being introduced, and the Chinese version will get to see it and play. So, in the preview image, there were five characters as you can see, and one of them is termed as Captain. Hence, with the other four, it also highlights the ability to form squads with friends in a 5-a-team style.
We already have an option to play Co-op with friends, but this new mode might provide an even better experience in my opinion. So now, the question remains, how it might be?
If you ask me, I have a lot of ideas floating, but I will explain a couple. The 5v5 format allows for more complex team strategies than usual, so players might have to build on teamwork rather than individual character upgrades. Also, given this mode of style is commonly seen in competitive matches, I believe this game mode is Squad Busters’ key to entering the Esports scene.
Anyway, leaving the speculations aside, I need to see how the 5v5 gameplay mode is being implemented in the test version in China. Once it begins testing on July 30th and will be able to give you a clear view, although it will only have 5000 as the max limit of users. Until then, keep an eye on this space.
