What is a Chest Doubler in Squad Busters
The Chest Doubler in Squad Busters is a special item that doubles the rewards you receive after battles. You can get Chest Doublers from events or buy them in the Shop, and for starters, you can get them from Squad Journey, when you reach Level 26 in Desert World. They start working automatically when you get them.
If you claim or buy another Chest Doubler while one is already active, it will extend the active time. The Chest Doubler does not apply to rewards from direct purchases, including items bought from the shop or the Gem Pass. These come across as Battle-Specific, where the Chest Doubler only works for rewards obtained through battles.
How and When to use the Chest Doubler in Squad Busters
The first tip is to not claim the Chest Doubler reward immediately after it unlocks, since it activates immediately. This works in Squad Journey and Season Rewards as it doesn’t activate until you claim them. To use Chest Doublers effectively, focus on a specific sequence in the 60-chest cycle. I have explained the Chest Cycle and Rewards chances in my other guide, refer to it for more explanation.
The best sequence to double is 2 Epic chests, 1 Rare chest, and 1 Common chest, appearing only once in the cycle. You can identify this sequence by spotting 2 rare chests back-to-back, which will be followed by 3 common chests according to the fixed sequence.
So when you know this sequence will repeat, prepare in advance by purchasing 4 chest tickets, then activate your doubler and open the chests. To maximize benefits, try to activate the doubler while you are on a 5+ win streak.
