Developer and publisher of the popular action MOBA title Mobile Legends Bang Bang, MOONTON Games, hosts several esports events every year. The events house the best pro teams in the game’s esports scene. In the final months of each esports year, the game hosts its year finale event, the M5 World Championship 2023. Apart from the official events by Moonton, the company organizes a few invitational events by teaming up with third-party organizers. Mobile Legends ONE Esports MPL Invitational (MPLI) 2023 is an event hosted by Moonton and One Esports.
This year’s event has changed the format a little. The tournament has brought back the previous regions in addition to some new ones as well. North America, MENA, and China were added with Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Cambodia joining again to the ONE Esports MPL Invitational 2023. Scheduled to kick off on the 15th of November 2023, the event will feature 16 teams for a prize money of $100,000. The offline event will take place at GBK Basketball Hall, Jakarta.

A total of 16 teams will join the ONE Esports MPL Invitational 2023 from all of the MPL regions. ONIC and Triple Esports have withdrawn their teams from the tournament and instead, EVOS Legends and Falcons will take their places. The list of the contenders is as follows.

Tournament Format
The event will start kicking off on the 15th of November 2023 and will close its run on the 19th of November. The group stage will held for the first three days and the res two days of the event will host the playoff stage. There will be four groups in the group stage, 4 teams divided into each group.
All the matches will be BO1, followed by a single round-robin format. The group champions will advance to the upper bracket and the runners-up will head to the lower bracket. The playoff stage will follow a hybrid elimination format where all the matches will be BO3 except the grand finals which will be a BO5.

A whopping sum of $100,000 will be awarded to the participant teams based on their placement after the end of the event. The exact share for the teams is not revealed yet but following this article will help to know the division of share at the earliest possible time.

The event will be live-streamed on the social media channels of ONE Esports’, which includes their Facebook, TikTok, Twitch, Twitter, and YouTube platforms. The event will be streamed in the languages of Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, English, Tagalog, and Khmer.
