The September 2024 update and balance changes are now live in Clash of Clans and of course, the new features are something players are excited about. On the bank of this, Clash of Clans has introduced its second challenge of the month, titled the Dungeons & [Clash of] Dragons to beat, which brings you to test the new features that arrived in the update. If you’re reading this article, you’re in the right place to learn how to secure those three stars with your attack.
Introducing the Dungeons & [Clash of] Dragons Challenge in Clash of Clans
Featuring the first legendary scenery of the game, Clash of Dragons, we have a good test of the Supercharged defenses in this challenge too. The base is pretty ramped up, since we have a Town Hall 16 in sight, so surely not an easy one to begin with, but just like every other base, we can wipe this down.
The rewards will be distributed just like in previous challenges, with the team continuing their usual approach. There doesn’t seem to be any plans to change this anytime soon, as the makers have been repeatedly lazy in this regard. You will receive extra resources along with 400 XP, 25 Gems, and 1x Resource Potion.
How to beat the Dungeons & [Clash of] Dragons Challenge in Clash of Clans
Before kicking off the attack, make sure to switch the Grand Warden to air mode. Deploy a couple of Balloons to trigger traps around the Dark Elixir Storage and Archer Tower on the bottom left side. Place an Electro Dragon above the Archer Tower and Dark Elixir Storage, and use a Baby Dragon behind them on the bottom side. The Electro Dragon’s chain lightning will clear out these defenses.
Next, select your Inferno Dragon and use the Invisibility Spell on it when it targets the Scattershot. Keep it invisible long enough to destroy the Town Hall, using another Invisibility Spell after four seconds. Once the Town Hall is down, use an Earthquake Spell on the X-Bow and Scattershot area, followed by four Lightning Spells to take down the supercharged defenses and deal maximum damage.
For the top left side of the base, where there are Mortars and Scattershots, use three Lightning Spells and an Earthquake Spell. Deploy your Archer Queen in the middle of the Dragon Head Statues and activate her ability as soon as she is deployed. If the defending dragon is out, use a Poison Spell on it to assist your Queen in taking it down.
Follow this by placing your Barbarian King near the Cannon at the top side of the base, as these two heroes will help in clearing the top side of the base. Just as he enters, use his ability to clear that section, and Use another Earthquake Spell to damage the top Infernos and place the Royal Champion on the Dragon Statue at the top side.
Deploy Balloons on each Dragon Statue in the east to clear Seeking Air Mines, and use a Bat Spell to protect the Royal Champion as she targets the final Multi-Inferno that you previously damaged with the Earthquake spell. Finally, deploy three Super Dragons, regular Dragons, and Balloons in the eastern compartment.
After clearing the Scattershot, activate the Grand Warden’s ability to protect your troops. At the final part of the attack, use Minions to clean up the remaining buildings and the Clan Castle area for an easy three-star on the base.
