FIFA Mobile promises compensation and free UTOTS players due to the recent bug

Its a compesation but its definitely not fulfilling!

Just after the release of UTOTS, there was a massive uproar in the FIFA Mobile community within the first half an hour. EA had released its most-awaited and grandest event from throughout the season with a massive bug. The bug removed all the probabilities of pack luck and rewarded players with the maximum possible rewards including guaranteed UTOTS players and Coin rewards on every pull. Albeit the bug was resolved, players who had logged into the game at that time gained an undue advantage over the others making the overall playing field very unstable. Recently FIFA Mobile has addressed the issue and provided updates on upcoming compensation due to the unwanted UTOTS bug.

EA has addressed this in a blog post accepting that the UTOTS Points offer was misconfigured and incorrectly setup allowing players who used the offer to gain an unusually large amount of coins and UTOTS Players. The situation was purely unprecedented and unintentional and has since been fixed by the FIFA Mobile dev team.

EA has announced several fixes and compensation in lieu of the FIFA Mobile UTOTS bug

With the players immediately gaining billions (yes billions and not millions), the market was very very unstable and imbalanced. As a first-aid fix, EA has had initially made the market inaccessible to prevent the chaos from going out of hand. After more than 24 hours after the bug’s impact, the FIFA Mobile dev team finally put out their first fix, re-evaluating everyone’s Coins value and adjusting it to a minimum threshold of 200 million Coins.

Correcting Coin values and bringing back balance in the Market

With a significant chunk of the player base boasting at least a billion coins, the market was already out of order. People who were not online during the glitch would have never been able to match that coin value and in turn, would have missed out on buying any players in the market.

To bring an immediate fix to this issue, EA has re-evaluated and balanced the Coins from the users who have used the UTOTS Points offer during the glitch. FIFA Mobile brought out the following changes just a few hours after the following day’s reset:

  • Coins claimed from the misconfigured UTOTS Offer were deducted.
  • Claimed Coins were deducted to a minimum of 200m. If after the Orders on the Market were canceled and refunded, the user balance will exceed 200m Coins with the additional amount.
  • Claimed Coins were not deducted if users had less than 200m Coins after the Orders on the Market were canceled and refunded ie, for players who didn’t claim the glitched UTOTS offer.

Free UTOTS Player and other Compensations

EA has announced a series of gifts and compensations for players amidst the chaos all around:

  • June 16th UTC: 107 OVR ST Flashbacks Zlatan Ibrahimović
  • June 17th UTC: 1m Coins and 1,000 Gems

Additionally, Players who weren’t online during the UTOTS reset and didn’t claim the UTOTS Store Offer will receive further player rewards including:

  • June 17th UTC: 112 OVR TOTS Player
  • June 18th UTC: 114 OVR UTOTS Player

Although none of the compensation announced can remotely replace or fulfill the imbalance created by the UTOTS bug, it’s still a free UTOTS player nevertheless.

Other Announcements

Along with these, EA further announced that no player will be banned or suspended who claimed the UTOTS Store Offer multiple times. The FIFA Mobile dev team acknowledged and apologized for the issue and stated that any TOTS or UTOTS Player rewards that were obtained due to the glitch will not be altered or taken away from the users.

Yes! Had you obtained UTOTS Players during the glitch, be rest assured you will be allowed to keep and use all of your UTOTS Players in your inventory. Although the claimed UTOTS players will continue to remain untradable for the obvious reasons of not hampering the market. Only the abnormal sum of coin amounts has been removed and restored from the users.

Community Reactions and the Aftermath

Over the last few days, the FIFA Mobile community has been hot and fuming. The community is divided into two sets, with some who were logged in during the reset and claimed a significant number of UTOTS players and an astronomical amount of Coins. This list includes popular Youtubers and Twitch Streamers as well who were on live stream during the reset and spent their actual cash on FIFA Points to get more pulls on the Store Offer.

The other half of the community, who weren’t live during the reset and were “deprived” of this unprecedented reward. Once they logged in, the playing field was already completely imbalanced with teams in VSA and H2H matches consisting of 7-8 UTOTS Players. Meeting a team with at least 5-6 UTOTS Players in PvP matches has been a common occurrence.

It was evident no matter what compensation EA announces, it won’t satisfy the demands of all. If all coins and “mistakenly-rewarded” UTOTS Players were to be removed or users incur a ban, it would have been totally unfair considering the mistake was on EA’s part. Additionally, if the user actually spent FIFA Points to gain the UTOTS players during the reset, they would have to be refunded back the entire amount should any restoration take place from the devs.

EA tackled this by just balancing out the coin value and letting the players retain their earned UTOTS Players. In return to the others, FIFA Mobile has announced one free 112 OVR TOTS Player and one free 114 OVR UTOTS Player. This by no means is fair compensation towards the users who potentially missed out on at least 4-5 UTOTS Players just because they weren’t online during the daily reset.

But in the end, considering everything, this was probably one of the best possible routes EA could have taken. They readjusted everyone’s coin value back to where it was before the reset and are rewarding players with one free 114 OVR UTOTS Player. The free UTOTS Player albeit being untradable will further allow in subsidizing the currently inflated prices of UTOTS Players in the market.

Additionally, EA also announced, that the current season of FIFA Mobile is still far from being over and there are still plenty more events and content planned in the upcoming months. Also, Player OVRs will continue to increase from here with future events bringing players of OVRS greater than 115 OVR. With the last glitch, EA has already created a massive dumpster fire in FIFA Mobile, creating a disbalance in the playing field and creating wide gaps among players. It is yet to be seen how the free compensation helps in stabilizing the game and market in the long run.

Nah bro ea has to take this seriously people were able to get nearly a full team of utots players during the glitch and they are only giving us one. We deserve at least 3 utots players and 2 112 tots players and 300 mil coins.

Davide

Uno schifo,il divario resta alto e non si può giocare e non è giusto,i players che hanno lavorato duramente per costruirsi una squadra viene azzerata dagli utots 114 over.dovete dare milioni a chi non ha beneficiato del bug
