Why should you pull for Yukong
Yukong is looking to be a very competitive 4-star character that takes the Path of Harmony with the Imaginary-type element. Her playstyle and role in a team are a buffer that will greatly boost the damage of the DPS. Much more from her element type, the Imaginary is a rare element and can provide a lot of weakness break to a lot of contents in the game.
Her ATK Boost as well as her CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG buffs are extremely helpful in any situation. According to several leaks, Yukong is expected to be added to Honkai Star Rail in patch 1.1 along with Silverwolf and Luocha. Recently leaked gameplay footage shows her unique moves, Eidolons, and Traces.
Yukong Abilities and Ascension
Yukong Ascensions play a big role in her supporting capabilities, she can boost DMG and can also provide defensive support.
Ascension 2 | Ascension 4 | Ascension 6 |
---|---|---|
Archerion | Bowmaster | Majestas |
Yukong can nullify a single debuff targeted at her. This defensive effect can be activated once more after a 2-turn cooldown. | When Yukong is present in battle, the damage inflicted by all allies’ imaginary attacks is boosted by 12%. | While Roaring Bowstrings is in effect, Yukong gains an extra 2 Energy whenever an ally performs an action. |
Based on Yukong Ascensions, it is clear that her role in the party is a support and a buffer. Yukong has one of the rarest elements in the game at the moment, this is also a key role in her main strengths on the battlefield as she can fill the weakness break needed for some important situations.

Why is Yukong worth pulling for in Honkai: Star Rail
Yukong is the second Imaginary-type element to be released in the game after Welt. This reason alone makes her one of the most valuable 4-stars in the game. Additionally, Yukong’s overall kit is centered around solid supporting abilities, she can easily fill a role in any team regardless of what content is being battled. She is looking to be the next best 4-star character in the game after Tingyun. They both have similar abilities but Yukong gains the edge with her Imaginary-type element.
If you are in need of an Imaginary-element and a buffer for a team, Yukong is the best option for you. She can easily climb the upper ranks of the Meta and can even replace Tingyun in some situations. She is expected to be one of the best 4-star buffers in the game when she releases on June 28, 2023, in Silver Wolf Banner.
