Starting from August 23rd, 2024 Rocket League Sideswipe, released back in 2021, will be removed from Google Play worldwide and Apple App Store in the EU. This means that if you are an Android user anywhere in the world, you will have to download Rocket League Sideswipe from the Epic Games Store. On the other hand, if you are an IOS user from the EU, only then, will you have to download Rocket League Sideswipe from the Epic Games Store.
Players can download the new Season 17 of Rocket League Sideswipe only via the Epic Games Store
The new Season 17 is just around the corner and it will bring with itself some new and exciting features to the game which you will be able to enjoy with your friends. Epic Games Store was announced recently alongside Fall Guys Mobile and Epic Games is thus giving out rewards in the game to celebrate the launch of the platform.
Diestro (Gold Trim), a new Car Body variant will be given out to celebrate the Epic Games Store launch, it will be available for cross-game ownership in Fortnite as well. To access the new season, you will have to download the game from Epic Games Store. Long-time players who did take part in season 16 or before them will be awarded the “Long-Time Fan” Title and the Loyalty Ball Avatar.
Not just this, the infamous Heatseeker mode along with other new game modes will return with the new season, hence good luck defending your nets in the new season. The new season will see a lot of development with the addition of new cars, goal animations, a new tier system, new customization items, and even new branding of rarities in the game, with the names being changed to what they are called in the original Rocket League.

Remember, Rocket League Sideswipe is being removed from Google Play worldwide, hence if you are an Android user you will have to download Rocket League Sideswipe from the Epic Games Store. Even if you have the game, but it was downloaded via Google Play, you will have to re-download it from the Epic Store. - You might get a message regarding the app being harmful, that’s a generic message, however, you can skip it and download it.

Remember that Rocket League Sideswipe is only being discontinued for iOS in the EU, hence iOS players outside of the EU will not have to do anything as the game will be available via Apple Stores outside of the EU.

- If you are from the EU and use iOS, you can download the game from here,
- Note that you should be iOS 17.6 or higher and must pass Apple’s region check for European Union customers. Be sure to use Safari or Brave browser.
- As you continue, you will get a notification that Epic Games Marketplace is not allowed on the device.
- To allow Epic Games Stores, you can go to settings and tap on “Allow Marketplace From Epic Games.”
- Once, this is done you can return to the screen you were previously on, Press “Install,” then on the next screen, tap “Install App Marketplace.” Finally, Tap “Continue” on the confirmation pop-up to install the Rocket League Sideswipe.
Rocket League Sideswipe is a pretty fun game to play with friends, the unique concept of the game still gives it the edge and appeals to the fanbase thus keeping the game active. Even though a lot many replicas of the concept have been released, Rocket League stands tall among them all.
