- The Division Resurgence has announced resuming test operations, with closed test in Romania.
- Players who spend during regional beta tests will be compensated with Premium Credit.
- Multiple delays since 2023 shifted the game's release timeline.
The highly awaited third-person shooter title from Ubisoft, The Division Resurgence, is brought back into the spotlight as it prepares to restart test operations for the much-anticipated mobile shooter. A new closed test will begin on September 9, 2025, starting in Romania.
The Division Resurgence was first announced in May 2021 as a standalone free-to-play mobile game set in the popular Tom Clancy universe. It promised an open-world New York city experience with both PvE and PvP modes, taking the tactical gameplay from the main series and adapting it for mobile.
The Division Resurgence test operations restarting bring new hope for the fans
Since then, Ubisoft has held several closed alphas and regional betas, with tests running in Southeast Asia, the US, Brazil, and other parts of the world. However, the game’s journey has been far from smooth.
Originally planned for a Fall 2023 global launch, it faced several pushbacks. A September 2023 announcement shifted the release to early 2024, before another delay in March 2024 moved the target to December 2024.
In July 2024, Ubisoft announced that both Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence would be postponed indefinitely, citing the need to refine gameplay and meet high market expectations. This decision even raised concerns about the company’s financial outlook for FY25.
The Division Resurgence Closed Beta Test registrations are now open
According to Ubisoft, the September 2025 test build will be similar to the one made available during the December 2023 testing phase. Players who make in-game purchases during the regional beta tests will be compensated in the form of Premium Credits, automatically credited to the same account after launch.

A bonus structure has been introduced to reward testers: spending up to $300 will grant 150% of the Premium Currency value, while spending above $300 will earn 120%. This bonus resets at the start of each new Regional Beta, giving players repeated opportunities to benefit from the system.
Players can now pre-register for a chance to be part of the upcoming phase, which comes after a year of uncertainty and multiple delays. Visit the official website and sign up for the tests. Invitations will be sent to registered players, so completing the registration process on iOS or pre-registering on Android is essential.
For fans who have been waiting to play and test the game, this is a promising sign that the game is finally back on track. The Division Resurgence still has strong potential to make its mark in the crowded mobile shooter space.
