- MOONTON Game's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has been the pioneer for mobile esports
- Saudi Arabia has always been a frontrunner on the esports scene, hosting the Olympic Esports Games in 2025
- This partnership will see the rise of esports as a major sport among the youth in Saudi Arabia
MOONTON Games has again entered an exciting partnership to grow the esports scene of its popular MOBA Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This time, MOONTON Games and the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) signed a partnership. The aim is to promote esports in Saudi. The announcement came on the same weekend saw MLBB named the Esports Mobile Game of the Year at the Esports Awards 2024.
Partnership signings are not something new for MOONTON to promote its esports. Last June, it entered into a partnership with Qiddiya to expand Mobile Legends Esports worldwide.
“There are still tremendous opportunities to expand the esports ecosystem further. We could not be more delighted to collaborate with SEF. Together, we look forward to cultivating an open esports ecosystem that is inclusive, diverse, and competitive,” said Lucas Mao.
This partnership will promote esports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Lucas Mao, the Managing Director of Global Esports at MOONTON Games, and Turki Alfawzan, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Esports Federation. The ongoing New Global Sport Conference (NGSC) made this MOONTON Games and Saudi Esports Federation partnership possible.
The MLBB scene is rapidly increasing each day. This year, the game relocated the MSC 2024 event outside the SEA region for the first time. Besides, MOONTON is rapidly expanding its footprint all over the world.
Mobile Legends may get a big spotlight in the Olympic Esports 2025
Both parties agreed on the future growth plans for the Kingdom’s esports industry. This will cover areas such as marketing, the hosting of professional tournaments, education, and community development. But the most exciting thing will be the possible presence of MOONTON’s flagship title Mobile Legends on the stage of the Olympic Esports Games 2025.
“Saudi Arabia is rapidly establishing itself as the global hub for gaming and esports, and we are thrilled to welcome MOONTON Games as a key partner in this journey,” said Turki Alfawzan.
Though this is a speculation based on the MOONTON Games and Saudi Esports Federation partnership deal, it has a strong possibility to happen as SEF is committed to featuring MLBB as a game title in its calendar of events for 2025.
The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) is the regulating body in charge of nurturing elite gaming athletes and developing the gaming community and industry in Saudi Arabia. As the two strong parties are now together, the MLBB fans can hope to witness some big initiatives in the days ahead.
