Genshin Impact Cloud Server: How to play, Features, Pricing, and more

All you need to know!

Genshin Impact has tried plenty of ways to get closer to the fanbase and it has definitely played a part in the game being one of the best available in the open-world RPG genre. One of them is the cloud gaming service, that players can access to make things easier without the installation of a heavy Genshin Impact file. Once the leaks surfaced, the beta version for both Android and iOS was made available in 2023 followed by PC. So in this article, I will let you know the details of the cloud system such as How to play, Features, Pricing, and more.

Genshin Impact Cloud: All you need to know

Overview

Genshin Impact Cloud is a cloud gaming service that allows players to enjoy Genshin Impact and other games without the need for high-end hardware. However, access is currently limited to selected regions, primarily Malaysia and Singapore, with the Chinese website for Mainland China users. The service offers a free trial period and uses a cloud coin system for extended playtime.

How to Play

To access Genshin Impact Cloud, users need to download the applications for Android, iOS, or PC first on the official cloud website which comes with English support. There is also the Chinese website, where you just have to register on the official cloud website using a MiHoYo/HoYoverse account.

Once registered, you can search for Genshin Impact and begin with the game session. Players can adjust settings for language, and graphics quality, and monitor their gameplay duration. I say it’s essential to log out properly after playing to ensure security.

Features

Genshin Impact Cloud offers a compact storage size, requiring less than 1GB if you are going with the download-and-play option with the app. Users can enjoy a free trial period, with the option to purchase additional playtime using Cloud Coins. Real-time cloud technology lets you dive into exciting adventures instantly, without waiting for downloads. You’ll experience smooth gameplay with crisp graphics and fast frame rates, all with just a click.

No need to download the entire Genshin Impact game package to start playing. The service provides settings for signal display, resolution, FPS, and network status. You can choose your server when logging in. Your game progress is synchronized across all platforms. However, as I mentioned earlier, access is currently limited to Malaysia and Singapore, with the need for VPNs in other regions.

Pricing

Despite its convenience, the pricing structure may be considered expensive compared to other gaming options. The pricing structure for Genshin Impact Cloud involves purchasing Cloud Coins, with 10 points equivalent to 1 minute of gameplay. Prices vary but generally start at around $2 for 180 points, roughly equal to 180 minutes of playtime. However, for extended play, the cost can rise significantly.

There’s also a limit of 10 hours of free daily playtime, with additional time accumulating slowly over time. For the Chinese side, the pricing is approximately 6 Chinese Yuan for 180 minutes or 60 Chinese Yuan for 30 days. Additionally, logging in daily grants users 15 free minutes, accumulating up to 300 minutes initially. The subscription expires after 30 days, regardless of playtime.
