Honor of Kings Mirrorblade Guide: Best Arcana, Build and Gameplay Tips

Tips to master Mirrorblade in the game!

Mirrorblade is one of the finest assassins in Honor of Kings. Apart from Mirrorblade, she is basically known as Jing. She can be rated as an S-tier assassin based on her damage, blink, crowd control, and difficulty. We can easily understand that she can create her clone to switch positions or boost attack speed; that’s why she’s named Mirrorblade. In this Honor of Kings guide, we will take a look at the skills, and best builds, including tips and tricks to dominate every game with Mirrorblade.

We have previously discussed how to master playing with other Honor of Kings heroes like Diaochan, Private Ear, Solarus, Lady Sun, and Musashi. So make sure to check these hero guides as well. For now, let’s focus on Mirrorblade.

She can easily finish squishy heroes and harass enemies in the whole game, so mastering her will definitely give you the advantage on the battlefield; but mastering her is not so easy, as we can assume from her difficulty bar. At first, we have to understand the basics and then utilize her maximum potential to reign terror on the battlefield. So, without further ado, let’s just jump into the Honor of Kings battlefield with Mirrorblade.

Skill Analysis

Mirrorblade is a hero that has four abilities which are one passive and three active. In this Mirrorblade guide, let’s see what are her abilities in Honor of Kings, and when you can use which skill to get the best out of her.

Passive – Lethal Reflections (Damage)

This is the most important thing to understand while playing Mirrorblade. Each time Mirrorblade attacks an enemy hero, it will leave a mark, and the same goes for her mirror image too. Now, when the two marks combine, the mark will disappear (trigger the shatter effect), and then it will deal physical damage equal to 4% of her lost health while amending her skills 1 and 2.

This passive skill’s shatter effect has a 5-second cooldown (visible on the top of her head), but remember that when it is happening in the ultimate (the mirror domain vortex), it is reduced to 2 seconds. Mirrorblade can manually create her mirror image by casting skills, but in case there is no mirror image present on the battlefield, she will create it automatically while using skill 1 (Reflective Assault) or skill 2 (Shattered Illusions), respectively. This clone will copy the original Mirrorblade’s attack and disappear within 2 seconds after creation.

Mirrorblade’s clone can copy her attack and movement speed, except for her ultimate. The second thing is that her mirror image can heal her at 30% of the rate of the original. Third, a clone’s damage is directly proportional to its distance from the original. The damage ratio (capped at 80%) of the clone will gradually increase if the mirror image stays a bit further from the original Mirrorblade. Fourth, her copy can only deal 10% damage to towers, so during the tower drive, beware of that.

CD – 9 seconds
Mana – 50

This is Mirrorblade’s first and most useful skill. Upon casting, she will dash in a designated direction and deal 50 (+80% physical attack)/130/210/290/370/450 amount of physical damage to enemies while slowing them down for 1.5 seconds by 30%.

After casting skill 1, her next basic attack will be enhanced, which can deal an extra 2 slashes of physical damage (+10% physical attack) to enemies. From here, we can understand that there is a great role for basic attacks while we discuss her special combo.

Skill 2 – Shattered Illusions (Damage)

CD – 8 seconds
Mana – 50

Upon casting, Mirrorblade’s movement speed will be increased by 50%, which will be gradually reduced over 1 second. During this, Mirrorblade deals 40 (+60% physical attack)/95/150/205/260/315 physical damage to enemies while recovering 60 (+24% physical attack)/76/92/108/124/140 HP. But here is a catch: this above-mentioned healing effect ratio will work if she hits only a single enemy on the battlefield, but multiple attacks will provide 25% of the healing effect.

CD – 40/35/30 seconds
Mana – 90

Upon casting, Mirrorblade dashes towards the designated direction and knocks back enemies in her path at the end of her dash while rooting them for 1 second; she is immune to all attacks while dashing. After the dash, she will create a mirror vortex, and a copy of Mirrorblade will appear.

This clone can copy every single attack of Mirrorblade, and pressing again on skill 3 will swap positions between Mirrorblade and her clone (CDR: 1.5 seconds). This swapping grants her a 30% damage reduction and 10 (+4% physical attack)/15/20 HP every 0.05 seconds. Dealing damage to enemies will reset the cooldown reduction time.

After creating the vortex, 8 mirror shards will appear in it, and whenever she attacks her enemy in it, the closest shards will hit them, dealing physical damage equal to 2% of their lost HP. This vortex will be closed after 10 seconds, but if she leaves the vortex early, it will disappear instantly. So, dash carefully before casting this domain.

Best Arcana build and Spells for Mirrorblade in Honor of Kings

Arcana Build

The best Arcana Build for Mirrorblade is:

Mutation (V) *8 + Red Moon (V) *2; Eagle Eye (V) *10; Stealth (V) *7 + Hunter (V) *3

As an assassin, all you need is massive physical damage and movement speed boost, so at first, choose Mutation, which will help you increase your physical attack and pierce both, while Red Moon will increase your critical rate and attack speed. Eagle eyes also boost your attack and pierce.

The last build, stealth, will increase your movement speed and physical attack. If your stealth level is low, you can use Hunter too, but we will recommend that you upgrade this particular Arcana set because it will help you in the future. Most of the assassins and damage-dealing fighters rely on this set.

Battle Spells

Mirrorblade is an assassin and mainly played as a jungler, so Smite is the only spell that you can use on her. It will help the jungle grow faster, making it easier to secure the overlord and dragons. Buy the hunting knife to upgrade it to smite aura, and purchase the abandoned blade to upgrade it to smite inferno.

Here we are considering her role as a jungler-assassin.

  • Rapacious Bite: This item is very important and we can consider it as the core item. It grants +30 physical attacks and +360 physical defenses. Side by side, its first unique passive spiked armor will reflect magic damage to the enemy when it receives 25% of the physical damage. And its second passive counter-siege will help you deal 8% health magical damage to all enemies within a range of 400 blocks when you are taking +2000 physical damage over 2 seconds. But remember that this passive has a 3-second CDR.

Honor of Kings Mirrorblade Gameplay Tips

According to Mirrorblade’s skill-casting abilities, we can categorize her as a hard-to-play type hero. She is very strong in 1V1. So, clash lane and jungle are both suitable for her. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Honor of Kings Mirrorblade guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late games of the game. However, a player must have a good understanding of the map to get the most out of any hero.

Early Game

At level 1, unlock your first skill and purchase a hunting knife. Then aim for the blue buff and nearby jungle monsters, then rotate to the red buff and the same nearby jungle monsters.

After this, you will reach level 4 and gank the clash lane or gold lane as per the enemy positions. But do not overextend the fight. Use this combo to kill far-off enemies.

Skill 1 + Skill 3 + Basic Attack + Skill 2 + Basic Attack + Skill 1 + Basic Attack

Mid Game

Use skill 1 to harass enemies, but first, you should know how it works. If you are casting skill 1 up or down, then the mirror will move right or left, and if you are casting skill 1 in the right or left direction, then the clone will create up and down, respectively. Mirrorblade can use this skill to check bushes easily to avoid some unexpected ganks on the battlefield. Use smites wisely to boost your farm because it only has a 30 sec CDR.

Skill 1 + Basic Attack + Skill 1 + Basic Attack + Skill 3 + Skill 1 + Skill 2 + Basic Attack + Skill 3 + Skill 1 + Skill 2 + Basic Attack

In between this, try to secure the tyrant and the overlord. Use the bushes for ganking, and do not show yourself often on the map because the enemy will be hard to kill in mid-phase. Finally, aim to collect the gold as soon as possible because items are the only thing that can slay enemies easily.

Late Game

In the late phase, Mirrorblade shines the most; keeps repeating the process to dominate the battlefield. During a team fight, always aim your ultimate and skill 1 at the damage dealer to make sure that you hit the right target.

Do not hesitate to do 1v1 or 1v2, because at this stage you will gain massive damage. You can use this combo in team fights. Try to secure Tempest Dragon if you need it because it will give you a boost to push. Players can additionally use this combo, to gain an upper hand on the battlefield:

Skill 3 + Skill 1 + Skill 3 + Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Basic Attack + Skill 3 + Basic Attack

Additionally, if players want to try out Mirrorblade on the battlefield as an Assassin, they may go to Settings and then Free Attack Mode (advanced). Set the Target Prior to the Nearest Unit and of the enemy avatar and auto-basic attack. Players can follow the finger-press position on the Skill Wheel and swipe to the cancel button.

Final Thoughts

No doubt Mirrorblade is a tough hero to master, but once you get used to it and understand the whole skill mechanics, you will realize how much potential she has. The whole combo listed above will be at your fingertips. But it is also true that Mirrorblade is a bit of a squishy hero, so try to avoid burst damage and crowd-control effects.

Once you get caught, you cannot easily escape. Try to keep your enemy in the middle of the vortex, and remember that a more successful basic attack means more swap and more swap means more damage. An excellent pick for rank games, Mirrorblade is definitely a good pick for the current meta. These tips will surely help you to guide easy wins with Mirrorblade in Honor of Kings.
