FC Mobile 24 Retro Stars event Guide and Tips

After the completion of the boring Hall of Legends event and amidst the Dynasties event, as promised earlier EA brought back the long and one of the most anticipated events to the game in the form of FC Mobile 24 Retro Stars. Retro Stars has always been a way to bring back and refresh players from older events who were OP in terms of gameplay and performances, with a big OVR jump and a new look.

Get ready for a blast from the past with Retro Stars! Player Items from previous Events are re-imagined with retro-style artwork and updated attributes. Spend your Retro Tokens to test your might in daily challenges and earn Retro Tickets that can be traded for nostalgic rewards!

FC Mobile 24 Retro Stars Event Description

Event Duration:  August 29th – September 24th (26 Days)

FC Mobile 24 Retro Stars Event Flow

Intro

Similar to past events, the first tab, the Intro Tab, in this case, acts as a guide to the other chapters and the overall event. It’s not functional and redirects to other tabs, including the Retro Stars Quests, Challenge Mode, Exchanges, and Store Offers. Therefore, the Intro tab is the place to easily navigate to different game modes where you can earn Rewards related to the event.

Besides, this Intro Tab offers Weekly Login Rewards that you can unlock each week throughout the event. The Login Rewards range from Coins, Gems, a 94-99 OVR untradeable Retro Stars event Player, and one Universal Rank Player – Mascherano. Additionally, in the Intro Tab, you will log in each day and complete one PvE AI-based Daily Match to earn Retro Stars Tickets and Coins.

Complete the Daily Match to get Retro Stars Tickets. Once you complete the match, you can also receive fan-favorite Emotes and even premium Emotes from previous events as a part of the Retro Stars Pack that you get daily on winning the match. If you get a duplicate Emote or are unsatisfied with the reward, you can shuffle it to get another one for Coins.

Retro Arcade

Now, Retro Stars, unlike previous events, does not have an internal component. It’s straightforward: Every day, you log in to the Retro Arcade tab to receive a Retro Stars Token. You can claim one Token each day, and then you need to pick your home team from a set of six preset club teams, including Manchester City, Real Madrid, Juventus, Dortmund, PSG, and Ajax.

The Retro Arcade tab is where you will log in weekly to play a series of Skill Games and Daily Match to earn  Coins, Gems, Players, and Retro Stars Tokens every week. There is an exchange as well in the path for a Universal Rank Player – Mascherano. This is where you play your Weekly Skill Games and Matches to earn Retro Stars Tokens. Play games in Retro Arcade to earn Retro Stars Tickets, and exchange for exclusive Retro Rewards through the event.

Pick your preset team before starting the Arcade Challenge. Remember, the team you choose is stuck with you until the rest of the event, and you will have to play the entire Challenge with it. Therefore, be careful while choosing your team. You can ignore the visual stats displayed beside the teams as they are generic and do not apply to the squad OVRs.

Finally, you can now kickstart Level 1 of the Retro Arcade Challenge with your home team. Do note that should you lose any match or fail to complete a Skill Game in the Arcade Challenge, you need to start over the Challenge from the beginning! To start, you will again need a Retro Stars Token, that you can only receive the following day. Embrace the Retro Arcade Challenge with caution. Start over if you fail any skill games or matches, except for Head-to-Head.

Therefore you are free to move across the Arcade Challenge path using the same Retro Stars Token as long as you don’t lose the previous Skill Game or Match in the path besides the H2H match. Remember although the Retro Stars Tokens refresh daily, you won’t be able to replay any level of the Challenge if you have finished it already.

Additionally, do note that the Levels of Retro Arcade Challenge unlock weekly, therefore only the first level will be unlocked on the first week. Hence to play the second level, you will need to complete Level 1 and wait for the next week for it to unlock and therefore the final Level four will only open in the last week of the event. Once you complete all four levels of the Arcade Challenge, you will unlock the All-Clear Reward consisting of Two Premium Emotes and a 99 OVR LW Hristo Stoichkov.

Retro Rewards

Retro Rewards chapter is the tab where you will your hard-earned Retro Stars Tickets to collect Rewards with Weeks unlocking as we move forward in the event. This is the main Chapter where you can convert your Retro Stars Tickets into Rewards. Spend Retro Stars Tickets here to exchange for Retro Rewards, or try the Retro Stars Redeem Machine.

And here in the Retro Rewards chapter, you have two options, one is the Retro Redeem Machine where you can spend your Retro Stars Tickets to earn Rewards as a slot machine, or you can directly choose the Rewards including Super Rewards from the Reward Box. This mechanic is similar to the Rewards section back from the UEFA EURO 2024 event giving you a choice on how you can spend your Tickets.

There are three daily Ads as well in this tab that you can watch every day to earn additional Retro Stars Tickets. The Reward Box consists of 9x rewards comprising of Coins, Gems, Emotes, Jerseys, Logos, Training Transfer Points, Universal Rank Players, and Retro Stars Players. Unlike the EURO 2024 event, you can directly choose the rewards in the Reward Box for a certain amount of varying Retro Stars Tickets.

Once you have collected all the 9x rewards, the box is emptied and you can again open it once the box refreshes next week. Use your Retro Stars Tickets on the weekly refreshing Rewards Box. Each Reward can only be claimed once and the Rewards will be refreshed every round. There is a Milestone Reward as well giving an untradeable 98-100 OVR Retro Stars Player. You need to claim all the Super Rewards ie the top two Rewards from the Reward Box throughout the next four weeks to complete the Milestone and claim your reward.

Alternatively, you can spend your Retro Stars Tickets in the Retro Redeem Machine to receive the rewards in exchange for 200 Retro Stars Tickets each or at a discounted rate of 1800 Retro Stars Tickets for 10x draws. Claim Coins, Gems, Players, Retro Stars Players, and Universal Rank Players using your Retro Stars Tickets in the Retro Redeem Machine section.

It is expected that there will be new Players will be added for every round in this section. Once you have earned enough Retro Stars Tickets to claim the necessary Super Rewards from the Reward Box for that week, you can utilize them in the Retro Redeem Machine section. Although the Redeem Machine has a discounted offer, we still suggest going for the Reward Box first, given it gives you guaranteed rewards, and then opt for the slot machine.

Challenge Mode

Well since this is not a mini-event, there will be a Challenge Mode as well! The Challenge Mode is exactly like the previous event ie a rehash of previous events. The only difference is you will be getting a chance at players from higher OVR but you still won’t be getting any Retro Stars-specific currencies.

There will be both Daily and Weekend-special Challenge modes that hand out Players, Gems, and Coins. Since there are no H2H or Division Rivals matches involved, therefore it should be fairly easy to win. Don’t forget to check out the Weekend Challenge where you can earn up to 90-101 OVR Players!

Star Pass

Of course, the Star Pass is running simultaneously with the event. There are in-game resources present in the Star Pass. Complete Quests throughout the event to earn Star Pass progress, which includes rewards such as Coins, Gems, Training Transfer Points, FC Points, and other Cosmetic items including Emotes and Kits.

Don’t forget to check out the newest Retro Stars-themed Star Pass that is available at launch, including a 99 OVR RW Luís Figo. So don’t forget your daily quests to progress through the Star Pass! Earning Star Pass Credits will unlock more rewards along the Star Pass path. There are two tiers to the Star Pass: free and premium. You can also use FC Points to move faster through Star Pass levels and collect rewards faster.

Retro Stars Token

• Earn them by logging in daily from the Retro Arcade tab
• Spend them to start the Retro Arcade Challenge in the Retro Arcade tab

Retro Stars Tickets

• Earn them by completing Quests, watching Ads, playing the Daily Match in the Intro tab, and grinding the Arcade Challenge in the Retro Arcade tab
• Spend them in the Retro Rewards tab toward Retro Stars Redeem Machine and the Reward Box

Running the Math for F2P Players

As per our calculations, the following sums up the chances for F2P Players.

Since the Challenge Mode does not give out Retro Stars Tickets, therefore further tickets can’t be obtained from there But if you have extra Legend Points from the past you can trade them at an Exchange Rate of 3x Legend Points for 1x Retro Stars Ticket with a total of 300 times ie 900 Legend Points for 300 Retro Stars Tickets. If we keep that aside, then from simply playing the event, one can easily accumulate a total of:

You can get at least a minimum of 13500 Retro Stars Tickets from playing the event

Also, you can earn additional Retro Stars Tickets by exchanging Universal Tokens at an Exchange Rate of 3x Universal Tokens for 1x Retro Stars Ticket with a total of 400 times ie 1200 Universal Tokens for 400 Retro Stars Tickets Daily. Therefore if you stress on earning Universal Tokens from Icon Chronicles and by grinding the VSA, H2H, and Manager mode matches, you can gain an advantage in acquiring Retro Stars Tokens daily.

FC Mobile 24 Retro Stars Event Tips and Tricks

Retro Stars has a fair amount of grind, with daily skill games and matches to play in FC Mobile 24. So here are our additional tips and tricks to help you get the best from the event. It took us a while to get these answers and calculate everything so let’s explain it here.

Now tips for the event. Play everything. Be excited that there’s no event energy or stamina involved anymore in the new season. We’re not dealing with the constant fear of energy getting wasted and full and neither has there been a single ad since the game was released. So yes, definitely enjoy it while you can.

Retro Rewards

Make sure to collect all the essential Super Rewards ie the top two Rewards from the Reward Box each week. It takes a total of 2100 Retro Stars Tickets every week to ensure the Super Rewards and around 4010 Retro Stars Tickets empty the weekly Reward Box. Therefore unlike the EURO 2024 event, you can directly choose the Super Rewards beforehand and once you get the Super Rewards including the Universal Rank Player – Mascherano, you may stop there and consider saving your Retro Stars Tickets as well!

Alternatively, you can choose to spend your Retro Stars Tickets on the Redeem Machine and gamble your luck towards Retro Stars Players for 200 Retro Stars Tickets each or at a discounted rate of 1800 Retro Stars Tickets for 10x draws. But since draws are purely random and test your luck more than anything else, don’t expect anything remotely decent, you will be left disappointed.

You can get all of the Weekly Super Rewards from the Reward Box and claim the Super Reward Milestone

Do remember that you only need to claim the Super Rewards each week for the next four weeks to claim the Milestone Reward of the untradeable 98-100 OVR Retro Stars Player. Therefore if you want to aim only for the Milestone and spend the remaining Tickets on the Redeem Machine, then just spending 2100 Retro Stars Tickets every week on the Reward Box will ensure that easily.

Also, note that you can accumulate a lot of Retro Stars Tickets besides the minimum 13500 Retro Stars Tickets specified. Since you can trade Universal Tokens daily at a max exchange limit of 1200 Universal Tokens for 400 Retro Stars Tickets. Therefore if you focus on grinding Division Rivals ie VSA, H2H, and Manager mode matches, you can accumulate a lot of Universal Tokens that you can utilize for Retro Stars Tickets should you need them.

Maximize your Mascherano from the event

There’s one thing the Retro Stars event has brought in FC Mobile ie the Mascheranos and there are plenty of them on the offer. There are at least 1x Mascherano available in the Reward Box every week, with a furthermore available in each level of the Retro Arcade Challenge. There is a free Mascherano available after completing the Retro Stars Quests.

In the Redeem Machine, you can earn Mascheranos from the slot machine if you are lucky with your Tickets. Additionally, you can earn two more Mascheranos every week from the Exchanges and a further more from the Weekly Login Rewards in the Intro tab. And if you add them all up, you can get at least 18-20 Mascheranos from just grinding the four-week-long event! That is a huge win!

FC Mobile 24 Retro Stars Event Players

That’s it the FC Mobile 24 Retro Stars event in a nutshell. Beyond that, there isn’t a whole lot to say about this event. All the calculations are at your doorstep there, do with it what you will and plan carefully. Basically, just play the event, every day, daily grind it out.

Retro Stars is once again a huge letdown. Given what Retro Stars has been in the days of FIFA Mobile, the current event is nothing but a mere shadow of the past. It’s four weeks long, but that’s not the problem, once you complete a level of the Arcade Challenge, you need to wait the entire week for the next level to be unlocked.

This means you have nothing to do throughout the whole week other than playing through a single level of the Arcade Challenge and playing the Daily Matches every day. Although the event does incorporate grinding out Division Rivals for Universal Tokens, the rewards themselves are not fascinating enough to entice you into playing PvP matches. Disappointing, utterly disappointing!
