Yet another month has arrived which means, it is time for a new season of Clash Royale. Once again themed after the Card Evolution update that arrived this June 19th, Season 49 of Clash Royale is titled Evolution Origins. Once again, the new season this July 2023 will be introducing some interesting event modes as well as the usual new skins for towers, new emotes, banner box items, and the Season Shop rewards. This time, we will also have a new Card Evolution going live as well with the Mortar, so let us look into the details.
Clash Royale Season 49 Evolution Origins July 2023 Update details
As teased by the Clash Royale team a while back, the battles will take place in the Dark Elixir Cave, themed after the Dark Elixir.
New Tower Skins
Currently, two new Tower Skins have been confirmed for this update, which will be available in the Pass Royale. The Gold Tier of the Pass Royale unlocks theĀ Dark ElixirĀ tower skin at Tier 48, whereas the Rock Guitar tower skin can be unlocked via the Shop.
The Dark Elixir tower is a pretty decent one, resembling the look of the elixir, but isn’t very special, to be honest. However, the one in the shop is visually appealing with a great color choice, so it won’t be a surprise if the skin gets a good number of sales.
New Card Evolution: Mortar
As announced previously, Mortar will be the next card to be getting a Card Evolution update. The new evolution card alongside launching a giant shell will also carry a Goblin that will attack whatever is targeted, which makes it even more devastating.
Emotes and Banners
Once again, six new emotes will be coming, which will be featuring the recently arrived Evolution cards. Alongside, there are 40 brand-new banners available. There are 16 in the Banner Box, 16 for sale, 4 in the Season Shop, and 2 for Diamond Pass Royale owners.
Season Shop and Card Boosts
The Season Shop will return with some fantastic deals, which can be obtained by exchanging season tokens. Along with the cards on offer, banners and emotes are also worthwhile investments.Ā Barbarians, Mortar, and Goblin cards are also available in the Season Shop for 500 tokens apiece. Wild Shards will also make an appearance in the shop, available for 6000 tokens.
Barbarian Shards are also found in the Season Shop, which can be purchased thrice starting from 5,000 tokens which will add the same value to each purchase. Four cards have been picked for boost this time around, instead of the regular three. They are Mortar, Goblins, Musketeer, and the Log.
Clash Royale July 2023 Balance Changes
The balance changes for this month went live last week, but however, will fall under the current season. Even though there are minor changes, here is the overview of the balance changesĀ for the cards this season.
Buffed Cards
Skeletons Evolution
Being the weakest of the four, the change was needed to make the Skeletons Evolution more useful.
- Max count: 6 ā 8
Nerfed Cards
Firecracker
This change aims to fix an inconsistency in her interaction with the Princess Towers.Ā
- First Hit: 0.6s ā 0.65s (slower)
Royal Giant Evolution
The best Evolution card gets the Nerf. Not surprising.
- Hitpoints: 3993 ā 3686 at Level 11 (+30% ā +20%)
