EA introduces a new batch of Icons and Heroes for FC Mobile 25

Welcome the Legends back on the Pitch!

With a new season of EA Sports FC 25 and FC Mobile in the corner, EA has recently announced a new batch of Icons and Heroes who will be making their debut in the game. These former legends of the game will be introduced to the game gradually in the coming months.

As we know, Icons are retired professionals and some of the greatest footballers of all time. On the other hand, Heroes introduced in the previous season, consisted of retired players who had lit up the streets with their skills but couldn’t get the status of being an Icon.

Buffon, Bale, and Thuram are returning to FC Mobile as the new Icons

Welcoming three of the latest class of greats from football history, Gianluigi Buffon, Gareth Bale, and Lillian Thuram joins EA Sports FC 25 and FC Mobile. While Buffon is a Goalkeeper, Bale and Thuram join back into the game as outfield players. The Italian Guardian, Gigi Buffon retired last year playing his final season for his boyhood club Parma.

Having played the majority of his career in Juventus, Buffon has won the Italian League ten times and also the 2006 FIFA World Cup with his country. Gareth Bale, the Welsh Wizard had also hung up his boots last year playing in the MLS. Bale had successful spells playing in both England and Spain, winning the prestigious UEFA Champions League four times during his time at Real Madrid.

Last but not least, the seniormost of all the three Icons, Lilian Thuram returns to the game after a long gap of almost 17 years! Having retired in 2008 after playing for Barcelona, Thuram had an illustrious career playing for Parma and Juventus, where he was also Buffon’s compatriot. The Frenchman was a menace for attackers during his career winning the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO 2000 with the Les Blues.

Ten new Heroes are making their way to FC Mobile including Eden Hazard

EA Sports FC 25 and FC Mobile 25 introduce a total of 11 new Heroes to the game with one of them making a comeback to join an already star-studded cast of superhuman footballers. Let’s take a look at new Heroes coming to the new season of FC Mobile:

  • Eden Hazard: The Belgium winger had always been true to his name, bringing hazard for defenders, every time he stepped on the field either for Chelsea or Belgium
  • Jamie Carragher: The English center-back stood as the towering wall of Merseyside playing the entirety of his career for his boyhood club Liverpool
  • Jaap Stam: The Dutch destroyer had received his laurels while playing for The Netherlands and Manchester United, where he won a historic treble
  • Yaya Touré (Returning Hero): The Ivorian stood tall in the heart of his team’s field, being the engine to Manchester City‘s midfield as they won the league title for the first time in 44 long years
  • Tim Howard: Being America’s No 1 throughout his career, The American Guardian had a prestigious career during his time at Everton, taking the Toffees to an unforgettable FA Cup Final
  • Maicon: The Brazilian wingback was a menace for opposition wingers and defenders alike and was instrumental in winning the treble for Inter Milan during his time at Italy
  • Guti: The Spanish maestro was the heart of Real Madrid‘s midfield where he spent the majority of his career and his visionary passes could find even the farthest corners
  • Ze Roberto: The Brazilian winger was known for his electric pace, lighting up the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich during his time at Germany
  • Marek Hamsik: Nicknamed “Marekiaro” by his fans, the Slovak midfield general spent most of his career in Italy while playing for Napoli, where he left as the club’s then-record goal-scorer
  • Mohammed Noor: One of the lesser-known players on this list, Saudi Arabia’s Noor was influential in leading his hometown club Al Ittihad to back-to-back continental titles
  • Blaise Matuidi: The French workhorse has been a serial winner, winning multiple domestic titles with both Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus besides winning the 2018 World Cup with his national team

With the above lineup of Icons and Heroes, it’s needless to say, players and fans alike are waiting for the arrival of EA Sports FC 25 and the seasonal update of FC Mobile. It is yet to be seen, how many of them can get the ground running as they finally return to the pitch after hanging up their boots.
