The Free Fire OB46 update, released on September 4, 2024, is one of the most eagerly awaited updates in the game’s history. This latest version introduces a host of new content and significant improvements, giving players plenty to be excited about. Among the highlights are a new character, fresh weapons, stylish outfits, exclusive bundles, and numerous gameplay enhancements that elevate the overall experience. Fans of Free Fire can expect a more dynamic and engaging environment with this release.
Free Fire OB46 update: Key Highlights
New Character: Lila
Lila, the new character in Free Fire, comes with a powerful passive skill called Gloo Strike. This ability allows her to slow down both vehicles and enemies when they are struck by rifle shots. Additionally, when she or an enemy is knocked down, she gains an extra Gloo Wall and temporarily freezes all nearby opponents for a few seconds, giving her a tactical edge in combat.
Apart from the new character getting introduced, the OB46 update will alter skills for Xayne, Luqueta, and Andrew “The Fierce” as well as adjust those for other characters.
Time-Limited Gloo Wall Buffs will be available in the OB46 update
In the OB46 update, Free Fire introduces exciting Time-Limited Gloo Wall Buffs, including the Wrecking Gadget, Defender Gadget, and Lavish Gadget. These buffs bring strategic depth to gameplay by enhancing the effectiveness of Gloo Walls in various ways.
The buffs increase the damage dealt to Gloo Walls by adding extra bullet impact, making it easier to break through enemy defenses. Additionally, they automatically deploy Gloo Walls if the player is knocked down, providing immediate cover in critical moments. These gadgets are also capable of deploying Gloo Walls stocked with essential supplies, giving players both protection and resources in battle.
This new feature adds a layer of tactical play, allowing players to use Gloo Walls more effectively while offering crucial support during intense firefights.
Weapon Adjustments in Free Fire OB46 update
The OB46 update brings significant changes to Free Fire’s melee weapons and firearms, refining the in-game combat experience. Notably, scythes will now feature a charged attack, giving players more powerful melee options. Additionally, several weapons, including the Woodpecker, Trogon, and XM8, will undergo balance adjustments to ensure fair gameplay.
Some firearms are receiving balance tweaks, with certain weapons being reworked while others are buffed. For example, the AC80, M4A1, and SVD-Y are undergoing reworks to improve their overall performance, while the Vector, AK47, and M249 are getting buffs to make them more competitive in battle.
On the other hand, weapons like the Woodpecker, Trogon, and XM8 will be nerfed to reduce their current dominance in the game. However, certain firearms, such as the M870, will remain unchanged. These adjustments are designed to improve the overall feel of combat, ensuring better balance and a more enjoyable gameplay experience for all players.
