PUBG Mobile Global Championship or the PMGC, the annual international PUBG Mobile tournament and the highest honor for any esports team or player involved with the game is back again for 2024. From the 6th of December, 2024 to the 8th of December, 2024, 48 teams from across the world will demonstrate their mettle as they compete for a piece of the USD 3,000,000 prize pool and the title of PUBG Mobile World Champion.
PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024: Format and Schedule
PUBG Mobile Esports have not yet announced the format of the whole tournament. As of now, the only information on the venue is that the tournament will be taking place at the ExCel Auditorium in London, United Kingdom from the 6th to the 8th of December, 2024. For qualification into this prestigious tournament, teams will be participating in their respective Super Leagues of different regions, such as the likes of South-East Asia, CSA, EMEA, and Americas.
Additionally, PUBG Mobile’s PvPvE survival game mode, Metro Royale, will join the PUBG Mobile Esports catalog, with its esports series.
PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024: Participating Slots Breakdown
A total of 48 teams from around the world will first compete in the League Stage. 15 squads from this stage will be selected for the Grand Finals, where one team from the United Kingdom will directly receive an invite to participate. The tickets will be available for fans from August. To break down the slots that will be provided to the participating teams, here is the region-wise breakdown for the PMGC League.
- PMSL Fall rankings – 5 teams
- PMGC Points – #1 team each from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam
- PMCL – 1 team
Central and South Asia (CSA) (8 teams)
- PMSL Fall rankings – 5 teams
- PMGC Points – #1 team each from CSA, South Asia, Pakistan, and Central Asia
Americas (6 teams)
- PMSL Fall rankings – 3 teams
- PMGC Points – #1 each from Brazil, LATAM, and North America
EMEA (9 teams)
- PMSL Fall ranking – 5 teams
- PMGC Points – #1 each from EMEA, Turkey, MEA, and Europe
Invited Slots (15 teams)
- Japan – 2 teams
- PEL (China) – 4 teams
- South Korea – 2 teams
- PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup S2 – 1 team
- PMWC 2024 champions region – 1 team
- Special invite – 5 teams
Prize Pool
As per the Esports roadmap, the PMGC 2024 will be the 3rd global tournament of the year, followed by the PMGO Brazil along with the currently-concluded PMWC 2024, which has taken place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The PMWC 2024 saw Alpha7 Esports finishing as the champion of the event, bagging a total of USD 467,312.50 from the designated 3,050,000 USD prize pool.
