The June addition to the Pokémon Unite Roster has indeed arrived in the form of yet another Eevelution. Leafeon, the Grass-type evolution of Eevee introduced in generation IV, has an array of Grass-type moves it can unleash in the game, as a speedster. Before the next Pokémon arrive in the fray in the form of Inteleon, Tropius and Blaziken, it is important one fully adapts to the gameplay of Leafeon. In this Pokémon Unite Leafeon guide, we have entirely discussed how to play with Leafeon, the melee-type Speedster, from start to end. One must make sure to read till the end.
Leafeon: In-game Cost
Leafeon is available in the Pokémon Unite Committee for 575 Aeos gems. The exchange for coins would only be possible after 1 week from its release, for either 12000 or 14000 Aeos coins. While reliable datamine leaker Elchicoeevee thinks the Pokémon from now on would have a minimum price of 13000 Aeos Coins.

Pokémon Unite Leafeon Guide: Leafeon and its movesets
As expected, Leafeon has a combination of Grass-type and several other types of moves. Here are the details of those movesets in Pokémon Unite.
Basic Attack
If a basic attack is performed when the user’s Chlorophyll gauge (Passive Ability) is full, the entire gauge is consumed and the user’s next basic attack becomes a boosted attack. This boosted attack deals additional damage and decreases the movement speed of the opposing Pokemon it hits.
Passive- Run Away, Chlorophyll
- Run Away– When Eevee is not in a battle, its movement speed increases.
- Chlorophyll– When the Pokemon (Leafeon) with this Ability is not in tall grass, its Chlorophyll gauge charges. When the Chlorophyll gauge is full, the Pokemon with this Ability has its movement speed increased.
Ability 1- Swift
Does damage to the opposition in a triangular pattern, with the more the stars hit the opposition, the more damage they receive.
- Type- Ranged
- CD- 5s
Ability 1 upgrades at Level 4
At Level evolves into either of these 2 moves based on your choice:
Razor Leaf | Solar Blade |
Launch 5 sharp-edged leaves in a direction, dealing damage to Pokémon when hit, and again when the leaves return. Wait even longer to deal increased damage, and if all five leaves hit one Pokémon, the user is granted a shield! Type-Ranged CD- 6s | Solar Blade gathers energy to deal increasing damage the longer it’s charged. With a full gauge, the next cooldown is reduced and the blade immediately deals maximum damage. Type– Ranged CD- 8s |
Upgrade: Increases damage | Upgrade: Increases damage |
Ability 2- Quick Attack
Makes Eevee dash and deal damage to the opposition.
- Type- Dash
- CD- 7.5s
Ability 2 upgrades at Level 6
At Level 6 evolves into either of these 2 moves based on your choice:
Aerial Ace | Leaf Blade |
The user dashes towards the enemy to deal damage. The next basic move after this attack deals increased damage. Two Aerial aces can be kept in store. Type- Dash CD- 1.5s | Leaf Blade decreases movement speed and deals increased damage when its outer ring hits. Type- Dash CD- 8s |
Upgrade: decreases the cd. | Upgrade: increase damage. |
Unite Move- Emareld Two-step
The skill will make Leafeon leap towards the enemy to deal damage and decrease its movement speed. It then leaps again and lands forcefully, dealing damage to those within range. Pokemon take more damage the closer they are to the centre of the area of effect.

Pokémon Unite Leafeon Gameplay Tips
Our Pokémon Unite Leafeon guide includes the perfect game plan for the early and late games during Unite battles.
Early Game
Choose Quick Attack first and dash to the Xatu to gain an Exp. Boost after hunting it. Keep an eye out for the other mid-lane arrivals so as to evolve into Leafeon at the earliest.
Late Game
By level 6 you’d get your updated for the Dash moves. The Aerial ace perfectly suits the speedster gameplay, while the other one is suitable for the Passive Ability of Chlorophyll. Choose your move wisely. Steal the map objectives whenever possible.
Positioning of Leafeon
Go for the middle lane for early Exp, and evolve early. Switch to the other lanes wherever it is possible, for fights, or for a sneaky empty goal.
Leafeon with other Pokémon
Our Pokémon Unite guide will also look at the combination of Leafeon with other Pokémon during Unite battles.
Best Synergies with Leafeon
Pokémon | Synergy Benefits |
Mamoswine | This tanky partner would help soak damage while pushing the lanes, besides freezing the opponents. |
Decidueye | Would deal damage from a distance while Leafeon does so from the front line. |
Machamp | The burst-damage can perform a perfect synergy with the speedster. |
Pokémon which are strong and weak against Leafeon
Strong against | Weak against |
Pikachu | Tyranitar |
Chandelure | Crustle |
Decidueye | Blastoise |
Delphox | Snorlax |
Mew | Zacian |
Pokémon Unite Leafeon Guide: Tips, tricks and strategies
This guide will also discuss the tips and tricks for playing the defender Leafeon in Pokémon Unite.
- Try your best to evolve into Leafeon within a minute or two.
- Don’t get into early fights. Leave that to the attackers and defenders.
- Lastly, players must avoid using it much in Ranked Matches until they master all of its moves and playing style. They should use offline mode or Standard Battles as their Practice Arena.
Final Thoughts
Leafeon would be heaven for those who like to play with speedsters. The eeveelution has similar movesets and controls to that of Absol, hence Absol mains might also love Leafeon currently. Also, now that a team of 5-stack Eevees can be deployed, those who prefer mid-lanes for the quick switch of play might find Leafeon soothing enough.
