Rengar is an assassin champion with a high difficulty generally played in the Jungle. His whole kit is about to capture his prey and taking it down as fast as possible while being stealthy. His ultimate makes Rengar invisible and able to locate hidden enemies, combined with his passive which gives his basic attacks a leap while waiting patiently in a bush for his unaware prey. Skill Analysis
Rengar is a champion with the common five skill sets of one passive with two components and four actives. In this Rengar guide, we are going to see how his abilities in LoL Wild Rift work and when you should use which skill to be in the best shape in the current rank season.
Passive – Unseen Predator
If Rengar is in a bush or camouflaged, he will leap to the target with his next attack. If Rengar has no Ferocity he gains 1 Ferocity.
- Bonetooth Necklace: Gains 5%-25% Attack Damage for each unique champion takedown.
- Ferocity: Gains 1 Ferocity upon casting a basic ability. Reaching 4 Ferocity enhances his next basic ability, allowing it to be cast separately from the base version. All Ferocity is lost upon leaving combat
Skill 1 – Savagery
Rengar´s next 2 attacks within 3 seconds gain 50% Attack Speed. The first attack is empowered to deal an additional 44 physical damage (40 + 5% AD).
- Ferocity: Gains 55% Attack Speed for 5 seconds instead. The first attack deals an additional 68 physical damage (40+40%) instead.
Skill 2 – Battle Roar
Rengar roars, dealing 80 magic damage (80+80%) and healing for 50 & damage taken in the last 2 seconds.
- Ferocity: Rengar also gains 40 & Movement Speed for 2.5 seconds and removes all crowd control effects from himself.
Skill 3 – Bola Strike
Throws a bola that deals 60 physical damage (60+80% AD) and slows by 45% for 1,75 seconds.
- Ferocity: Deals 65 physical damage and roots instead.
Skill 4 -Thrill of the Hunt
Gains 30% Movement Speed and reveals the nearest enemy champion for 12 seconds. Rengar becomes camouflaged after 1 second and his next attack shred the target´s armor by 16 for 4 seconds.

Burst Runes
Electrocute
If you are planning to “one-hit” squishy enemies, Electrocute is the rune to pick up. By giving you extra damage when doing a full combo it is the remaining damage some might miss when fighting.
Hunter – Vampirism
As the before mentioned rune this one also makes you the terrifying shadow waiting for unexpected enemies to burst down.
Hunter – Titan
This rune is quite essential if you want to play the “going all in” playstyle. By taking a champion down Hunter Titan grands you extra health and tenacity.
Hunter – Genius
The Genius rune can be exchanged for another rune if wanted but there is not really a rune better suited for Rengar. Since the rune offers you more Ability Haste making you able to use your abilities more often it is helpful if you want to take down more than one enemy champion. The other rune setup “ Ultimate Hunter” gives you more persistency in exchange for lethality.
Ultimate Hunter Runes
Conqueror
Since with this build you would build your corresponding items more tanky Conqueror will give you the extra damage you miss out from Electrocute. Matter of fact in a longer fight Conqueror beats the other rune when it comes to maximum damage.
Brutal
Brutal will enormously help your early game with giving you extra AD and armor penetration.
Backbone
As mentioned before the playstyle you will go with this rune setup will be sustainability, Backbone will give you the missing attack or magic resistance.

As we figured out Rengar is an Assassin best suited being played in the Jungle. Always remember that the Wild Rift’s Map is a mirror so make sure you understand the map side before starting to lane. Early Game
You start the game like every other jungler would do by farming your jungle camps. Rengar´s clearing speed is average so a leash by your allies is always welcomed. Rengar has not the strongest early game since his power spike is locked up behind his Ferocity mechanism.
So early lane or jungle ganks might be risky for you to do so be careful about that. Other than go through the general jungle path from red buff -> raptors -> blue buff and then either crab or krugs.
Mid Game
After hitting level 5 and gaining all your abilities it is time for you to gank lanes. If before that a. opportunity occurs for you to gank early ie if the enemy champions over-extend lanes and constantly push towards your ally tower definitely do not shy away from getting that free kill.
So having a good map awareness is key for every jungler not only Rengar. While playing Rengar you will oftentimes wait in bushes to activate your passive, so keeping your patience for the perfect opportunity is important!
Late Game
Rengar hits his peak form between mid and late game since he will have a lot of time to buil up his Ferocity level. Rengar is not the greatest in teamfights since his kit is about taking down one individual at a time. You need to keep in mind to strike from bushes to get your leap as much as possible. So your main focus in the late game is looking out for squishy targets such as ADC who are farming and over-extanding on one lane on their own. Nemesis Duell
An unique mechanic has been launched with the release of both Rengar and Kha‘Zix. Players have the opportunity to settle the old rivalry between these two for once and for all by an in-match duell.The duell will start on it’s own once some conditions have been met. And in-game message will appear once the duell has begone and will last until the end of the game. Upon defeating Kha‘Zix Rengar will gain Ferocity during his ultimate making him a stronger opponent for the enemy team.

Final Thoughts
Rengar will definitely shake up the current meta especially in the Jungler division. He is the biggest counter to all ADC, which is currently the strongest champion since he can easily punish an ADC overextending. His upgrading mechanism makes Rengar a very strong late game character, where all his abilities can do multiple things at once. Time will tell if Rengar will be one of the strongest Junglers or if his nemesis will take that crown. But for now, at least there is more variety when picking Junglers.
