The time seems to be flying quickly, as we are already in the second quarter of the year. While we are excited about what April is going to offer, March had some interesting developments in the mobile gaming space. So to bring all of them in one space, here’s my coverage of the mobile gaming news roundup for March 2026.

Monthly Mobile Gaming News Roundup for March 2026

Week 1: March 01 to March 07

Executive Summary

March kicked off with a strong mix of global launches, early access titles, and major industry developments. New releases included Cat Quest II and III, Live Hard, Die Hard, Swap Heroes: Eternal Legends, HEAVENHELLS, and Arranger, all going live on mobile, while Hay Day Match entered early access and Fairy Twins held a regional beta.

Pre-registrations opened for titles like Fanstars League and upcoming projects such as Honor of Kings: World open beta and BanG Dream! Our Notes global release plans were confirmed.

On the industry side, discussions ranged from Tencent’s potential stake restrictions in the US to HoYoverse hinting at a new MOBA project, alongside collaborations like Motorola x FIFA Heroes.

The week also saw multiple concerns, including Arknights: Endfield security issues, STARSEED addressing data safety, and Reverse: 1999’s channel hack, while Snowbreak entered indefinite maintenance and Black Beacon halted updates in China.

Week 2: March 08 to March 14

Executive Summary

The second week of March again saw a similar pace to the first week. Three Kingdoms: Grand Strategy, Victory Girls: Anime Soccer, and Tomb Raider I–III Remastered headlined the week’s releases, while Fantamon: Idle RPG and Dicero rolled out in soft launch across select regions.

Pre-registrations continued with Pixel Gun 2, MapleStory R: Evolution, and MONGIL: STAR DIVE, alongside upcoming titles like NEKOPARA Sekai Connect and Nubby’s Number Factory locking in release dates. Meanwhile, Blade & Soul Heroes confirmed its global shutdown, and Arena Breakout announced its India closed beta.

Industry highlights included Honor of Kings officially launching in India, Google Play introducing try-before-you-buy features, and PEGI moving to stricter ratings for gacha games, while HoYoverse reported major anti-leak recoveries.

Week 3: March 15 to March 21

Executive Summary

Week 3 delivered a wave of global launches alongside major announcements and shutdowns. Titles like Magicmon: World, Immortal Clan: Grandmastery, Wizard Legend: Magic Awakened, GNOSIA, Baseball Hits 26, and Urban Myth Dissolution Center launched globally, expanding across genres.

Testing phases and early access continued with KICK BUDS playtest, Total Football closed beta in SEA, and FIFA Heroes entering early access, while several upcoming titles such as Annulus, Order of Kings, and Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe confirmed releases and My Hero ULTRA IMPACT shutdown.

Industry news remained heavy with ByteDance reportedly selling MOONTON Games, HoYoverse taking a stand against AI misuse, and Devsisters revealing its DevNow 2026 lineup, including CookieRun: New World, while the community faced another loss with BGMI esports player Wizzy passing away.

Week 4: March 22 to March 28

Executive Summary

The final full week of March featured several global launches and major announcements shaping the months ahead. CookieRun: OvenSmash and Dora: Explore and Play! led the global releases, while multiple titles, including FIFA Heroes, Racing Master, Farming Simulator 26, and Slime Rancher, locked in mobile release dates.

Pre-registrations opened for Haikyu!! ALL Challengers, Sword x Staff, Clash of Critters, and Townsmen – A Kingdom Rebuilt, alongside new reveals like DIGIMON UP and teasers for Light and Night SEA.

Meanwhile, shutdowns were confirmed for IDOLY PRIDE and Shadowverse, adding to a growing list of service closures. Riot’s rumored new League of Legends project, and PlayStation pulling back from mobile gaming efforts were part of industry highlights.

Week 5: March 29 to March 31

Executive Summary

The God Of Highschool Change went live in South Korea, while Made in Abyss Roguelite RPG opened pre-registration on iOS. New game inclusions were Dragon Ruins and Charisma de Murder Mystery, as The Elder Scrolls: Blades bit its goodbye.
