Therefore, players must make sure to check the past character guides as well. For now, let’s focus on Rhapsody.

About Rhapsody in Apex Legends Mobile

Rhapsody is a 23-year-old Rhythm slinger from the World of Solace. The best way to understand her is through her music. The steady rhythm reflects her supportive mother, who was an AI engineer. The booming bass resembles Rowdy, who is the robot companion which her mother created to amplify her daughter’s voice.

When her mother was fired from Pythas Inc. for discovering company secrets, her family was buried in false debt and forced into the dangerous nightlife district. Neon Dunes, the place where Rhapsody honed her art. The unrest around her inspired groundbreaking music with a rebellious heart, capturing the passion of its people. Her reputation grew, earning her an invitation to perform on the wealthy side of town.

Rhapsody Abilities

Every Legend consists of three unique abilities, known as Passive, Tactical, and Ultimate. Let us now learn about Rhapsody’s abilities.

Passive Ability – Gifted Ear

Rhapsody’s passive ability is more of an upgrade to what she already possesses. The Gifted Ear ability allows the player to view the enemy’s footsteps from as far as 50 meters, rather than 30 meters, which is the default sound visualization range. When the enemy is in between 30 to 50 meters, the footprint will be visible in red. When the enemy comes within the 30-meter range, the color of the footprint will turn white. This allows Rhapsody to alert herself and her teammates prior to combat.

Tactical Ability – Hype Anthem

This ability plays a powerful track that provides a small movement boost to the player and his teammates. And on top of that, the ability also heals the players’ shields by 2 bars, which is equivalent to 50 Shield Points. The Hype Anthem ability lasts for 10 seconds and has a cooldown of 25 seconds.

Ultimate Ability – Rowdy’s Rave

On activating this ability, Rhapsody summons her robot, Rowdy to create a gigantic disco-themed wall that protects her, and her teammates if nearby. The wall is 10 meters tall and 25 meters wide with a curvy end to the corners. The wall would be created in the same direction where the player faces. Players outside the wall cannot see what’s inside the wall, although anyone can be shot from either side of the wall. Grenades, bullets, etc. can pass through the wall, but abilities such as Bloodhound’s Tactical Ability cannot scan through the wall.

Perks and Finishers of Rhapsody in Apex Legends Mobile

Perks are additional traits that modify the Legend’s default abilities and strengths. They are broken into three categories, which include General Perks, Finisher Perks, and Exclusive Perks.

General Perks

  • Volume Control: Teammates affected by Rhapsody’s tactical ability temporarily gain Gifted Ear.
  • Tuned In: Continuous running increases the range of Gifted Ear.
  • Sound Bleed: View nearby 3D sound visualizations effects through walls, occasionally.

Finisher Perks

  • Battle Adaptation: Using a Finisher adds 100 points to the player’s Evo Shield.
  • Tactical Advantage: Using a Finisher charges the player’s Tactical Ability.
  • Interrogator: Using a Finisher reveals the location of the enemy’s team on the mini-map.

Exclusive Perks

  • Rowdy Rhythm: When casting the Ultimate Ability, teammates near Rowdy will gain faster reload speed for a certain amount of time.
  • Harmony: While present in the sound wave state of the tactical ability, the effect of using healing items is increased, and revive speed is accelerated.
  • Reverb: The higher the number of teammates affected by the player’s Tactical Ability, the longer the Tactical Ability lasts.
  • Rhapsody, Octane, Wraith: Rhapsody’s abilities make a large impact in this team composition, as her speed boost increases the already fast runners in Octane and Wraith. This team excels in movement and can easily outplay its opponents. With Octane’s jump pad and Wraith’s teleportation abilities, one can push toward enemies or make rotations.
  • Rhapsody, Loba, Fade: A team composition with all the new Legends may sound fancy, but they aren’t to be taken lightly. Loba can take advantage of Rhapsody’s Ultimate Ability by placing the Black Market behind the wall. This ensures a lot of safety for the whole team and they can loot without having anything to worry about. And at the same time, Fade can return behind the wall using his Tactical Ability, in case there are multiple enemies ahead of him.

Apex Legends Mobile Rhapsody Gameplay Tips

In this section of the guide, we will look at some tips and tricks to play with Rhapsody in Apex Legends Mobile. Rhapsody requires accurate use of abilities, which would be helpful for the team.

  • On deploying Rhapsody’s Rowdy, one should keep in mind the loud noise created by the wall which can be heard at a distance of up to 80 meters. Hence, players make sure that the team is ever ready to face multiple enemies.
  • The Hype Anthem ability can provide an increase of about 5% to the movement speed. In the case of an Octane with his Tactical Ability, he will get a massive 35% boost overall. Thus, use the Hype Anthem ability to your advantage.
  • The boost given by Rhapsody instantly stops for everyone if she is shot by an enemy. However, if a teammate takes any damage, he will solely lose the boost while the others will continue to receive the boost.

Final Thoughts

Rhapsody surely is one of the most fun and competitive Legends introduced to Apex Legends Mobile. Her essence of music turns into devastating horror for her foes, which makes her different. Players of Apex Legends Mobile cannot wait to get their hands on Rhapsody and see if it could match the other Legends in terms of competitiveness and strength.
