Skill Analysis
Renekton is a champion with the common five skill sets of one passive and four actives. In this Renekton guide, we are going to see how his abilities in LoL Wild Rift work and when you should use which skill to be in the best shape in the current rank season.
Passive – Reign of Anger
Casting abilities with 50 Fury or more consumes that Fury for enhanced effects. Enhanced abilities do not generate any Fury. Attacks generate 5 Fury. Fury gains are increased by 50% when under 50% Health. Out of combat, 4 Fury dissipates every second.
Skill 1 – Cull the Meek
Deal 60 physical damage (+ 80% AD) to nearby enemies, generating 5 Fury and healing 4 per enemy hit. Reign of Anger: Damage increases to 90 physical damage ( + 120%) and healing is tripled
Skill 2 – Ruthless Predator
Empowers the next attack to strike twice, stunning for 0.75 seconds and dealing 116 physical damage (+ 150%). Reign of Anger: Strikes three times, stunning for 1.5 seconds and dealing 174 physical damage (+225%)
Skill 3 – Slice and Dice
Dash in a direction, dealing 40 physical damage (+90%) and generating 5 Fury for each enemy passed through. Hitting an enemy grants a second dash to cast within 4 seconds. Reign of Anger: The second dash now deals 70 physical damage (+135%) and shreds armor by 25% for 4 seconds.
Skill 4 – Dominus
Gain 20 Fury and 250 Health for 15 seconds. Every second after casting, gain 5 Fury and deal 40 magic damage (+ 20% AP) to nearby enemies.

Skill up the Ultimate whenever it is available. Regarding other skills, upgrade the 1st skill, then the 2nd skill, and lastly the 3rd skill.

Runes Setup
Conqueror
Like all Fighter champions, Renekton will be using the Conqueror build for the extra damage in every team fight. Because he is not squishy like assassins Conqueror will benefit him more than f.e Electrocute.
Brutal
This rune is another one granting Renekton bonus damage. It is an early game rune so be aware of it falling off in the late game.
Backbone
Because Renekton wants to stay life as long as possible he needs to get all the armor he can get. So taking Backbone as a rune is a no brainer.
Pack Hunter
In this category, you could experiment with a lot of different runes. We picked Pack Hunter as the most obvious choice since it grants you bonus gold for every execution Renekton took part in – even if it was only an assist. With that, you get a nice movement speed buff around allies
Battle Spells
Flash
As Renekton you do not have abilites for mobility so taking Flash is important to get out of sticky situations.
Either Teleport or Ignite
As every Top laner, you have the freedom of choosing either Teleport, to give you more mobility, or Ignite, for the extra burn damage. The benefit of taking Teleport is you can easily solo push at any time while teleporting to your teammates for every team fight there will be. By taking Ignite on the other hand you will have an easier laning phase giving you that extra damage you would miss executing the enemy laner.

Early Game
Like every other Top, laner Renekton starts the game with the laning phase. Prior to the actual game, it is advertised to choose Renekton as a counter pick against the champions he dominates against. Renekton counters all the mobile Top laner in comparison to his brother who gets countered by them.
Always try to organize and manage your waves in a way it only benefits you. If you see your Jungler being on your side of the map or he is coming to it try to take advantage of that by preparing a gank. Make sure you are present if the first dragon appears and try to pressure your lane enemy by letting a big minion wave crash into their tower, thus giving you a number advantage if the enemy Top laner decides to deal with the minions first.
Mid game
Renekton is a strong fighter who deals a significant amount of damage while being tanky – that means you are the Frontline of your team like a Top Laner usually is.
After the laning phase, your priority should be either solo pushing your or other ally lanes who needs it or you take out the squishy enemies during a team fight ( or before that as well if you see an opportunity) such as ADC, etc.
Late Game
When you reached the late game with Renekton and got all your items it is his time to shine. Your priorities do not change from the mid-game phase though. So it is your job to solo push lanes or/be the frontline of your team fights. It is very situational so make sure you make the right option. Additionally, you can perform below skill moves to gain advantage in the battlefield.

Nemesis Duel
As already mentioned in the previous guides the new mechanism Nemesis Duel has been implemented with Renekton and Nasus has been giving the opportunity to participate in one of them to end their brotherly rivalry or miscommunication. This is a Wild Rift exclusive option for now since the counterpart on the PC does not have this for either one of the brothers, players have the opportunity to settle the old rivalry between arch-nemesis for once and for all by an in-match duel. The duel will start on its own once some conditions have been met. An in-game message will appear once the duel begins, it will last until the end of the game. Upon defeating Nasus, Renekton will remain at maximum Fury during his Ultimate Dominus.
Final Thoughts
Renekton will definitely be a breeze of fresh air for Baron Lane and a good counter pick against annoying mobility Top laners. Other than that it will be interesting to see how the Nemesis Duel against his brother will affect the overall gameplay and especially the outcomes of games. He can close gaps between enemies, stun them and finish them off with bonus damage from his passive and like his brother, if he gets ganked up he can become larger than life terrifying every enemy in his way.
