Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has kicked off the Global Skin Design Contest 2026, allowing artists, illustrators, and creators worldwide to showcase their creativity through original hero skin concepts. This year’s theme is Era of Awakening: The Clash of Two Destinies, and submissions are open until June 21, 2026.
Artists can compete for prizes and even career opportunities in MLBB
The MLBB Global Skin Design Contest 2026 is now live with the theme “Era of Awakening: The Clash of Two Destinies,” and one of the biggest highlights of this contest for me is definitely the $49,000 prize pool. And beyond this cash reward, MLBB has also revealed that artists whose work closely matches their visual style could even receive remote employment opportunities with the creative team.
Moreover, the judge panel also includes several renowned names from the global game art industry, including:
- Ma Hui – Senior Concept Designer of MLBB.
- Wenjun Lin – Chief Artist of MLBB and a critically acclaimed Computer Graphics (CG) artist.
- Adrian Smith – Internationally recognised concept artist known for his work on iconic IPs such as ‘Warhammer 40,000‘ and ‘Magic: The Gathering.‘
- Ben Zhang – Principal Concept Artist of ‘Overwatch‘, and contributor to the visual design of titles such as ‘Hearthstone‘ and ‘Diablo.‘
According to MOONTON Games, this contest reflects the company’s growing focus on creativity across multiple areas of MLBB, including “hero design and world-building to music, esports presentation, and community-led content.“
How to prepare your MLBB skin contest submission properly
I mean, their creative push was also recently recognised at the 2026 NYX Game Awards, where their Moontunes Studios won two Grand Winner titles for MLBB for music and audio design. So, I suggest you apply for this contest via this official link as soon as possible and don’t wait for the deadline.
So, you can choose and design a hero skin series on either Theme 1: The Awakened Civilisation or Theme 2: The Immortal Bloodline Civilization. And, you must pick one hero from five different lanes for the complete skin series, along with a brief explanation of your ideas. And here are the selected heroes for the test:
- Gold Lane: Natan, Hanabi, Claude, Beatrix, Clint.
- EXP Lane: Bane, Uranus, Jawhead, Terizla, Alice.
- Mid Lane: Eudora, Kimmy, Odette, Yve, Valentina.
- Jungle: Joy, Sun, Harley, Balmond, Aulus.
- Roam: Franco, Hilda, Estes, Mathilda, Atlas.
Make sure your design stays true to the selected MLBB heroes while maintaining high-quality standards. Plus, you have to submit in PNG and PSD formats, with each file remaining under 50MB. Oh, and your work should be new and unpublished, and AI-generated content is strictly prohibited. Good luck!
