Skill Analysis

Claude has three active skills and a passive skill like most of the other heroes in-game. In this Mobile Legends guide, we will also talk about the skills to use in certain scenarios as well as skill combos to be able to play Claude to his maximum potential.

Passive – Battle Side-by-side (Buff)

passive claude

After Claude’s basic attack, Dexter also follows up and deals with a basic attack. This extra basic attack from Dexter deals 20( +30% Total Physical Attack) amount of physical damage to the same target as Claude’s. Also, do remember that Dexter’s attack can mimic Claude’s attack effects.

Skill 1 – Art of Thievery (AoE, Buff)

CD – 5.0 at all levels
Mana – 65

skill 1 claude

Claude can activate this skill in a fan-shaped area and deal 160( +40% Total Physical Attack) amount of physical damage. This skill also reduces targeted enemies’ movement speed by 20% and their attack speed by 10%.

Each stack gained by Claude gives him 4%/4.6%/5.2%/5.8%/6.4%/7% extra Movement Speed as well as Attack Speed that lasts up to 6sec. Claude’s Stacks are capped at 5 and he gains a double-stack upon hitting an enemy hero.

Skill 2 – Battle Mirror Image (Mobility, Summon)

CD – 13.0
Mana – 70

skill 2 claude

Claude manifests a holographic image of Dexter on the battlefield that can automatically attack nearby enemies for 5.5 seconds. Upon casting this skill again Claude can switch places with Dexter’s mirror image.

Dexter’s basic attacks can deal 20( +30% Total Physical Attack) amount of physical damage and it can imitate Claude’s attack effects. It’s a teleportation-type blink so it can be used to blink through thick walls too.

Ultimate Skill – Blazing Duet (Burst, Shield)

CD – 50.0
Mana – 150

skill 3 ultimate claude

For 3 seconds Claude and Dexter briskly fire at the enemies ( capped up to two enemies ), in a circular shape area, dealing 130( +10% Total Physical Attack) amount of physical damage. This skill can mimic all the basic attack effects and also grants Claude a shield that can absorb 20( +3% Total Physical Attack) amount of damage. The bonus attack speed can drastically increase the rate of fire. Claude can move while casting his Ultimate so be sure not to stand in one spot and take advantage of this feature.

Skill-up method for Claude

Claude’s First skill Art of Thievery has a low CD as well as deals a decent amount of damage and also puts a controlling effect on enemies, so be sure to max it first. Then prioritize the second skill and upgrade Ultimate skill whenever available.

Best Emblem set and Spells for Claude in Mobile Legends

When you’re playing Claude in the gold lane, it’s recommended to use a Basic Common emblem because of its versatile benefits that complement his gameplay style. In this guide, this emblem choice for Claude in Mobile Legends can help enhance his performance on the battlefield.

Basic Common emblem

When playing as Claude in the Gold Lane, it’s best to go for the Basic Common emblem. It helps by boosting his Hybrid regen, HP, and adaptive attack, making him more effective during laning. This emblem choice is great for keeping his Art of Thievery stacks up, which is important for dealing more damage. As for standard talents, I recommend Swift and Tenacity. Swift improves his attack speed, while Tenacity increases defense when his HP is low.

As for the core talent, choose Quantum Charge. It provides HP regen and a movement speed boost upon landing basic attacks. This talent enhances Claude’s sustainability in battles, allowing him to stay longer in fights while also providing increased mobility, enabling him to maneuver around the battlefield more effectively. However, if you want to read an in-depth emblem guide, check here.

Battle Spells

For Claude, Purify is a top choice among battle spells. It lets him quickly escape crowd control effects, keeping his damage steady. If you’re not worried about being controlled, Vengeance works well too. Otherwise, if there’s less crowd control from enemies, Aegis and Sprint can offer extra defense or speed. These spells give Claude flexibility and help him adapt to different situations in battles.

Best Builds for Claude in Mobile Legends

Trying out different builds for Claude is a smart move to match the enemy team and your preferred role in the game, but I recommend building the Trinity Build. This build comprises Demon Hunter Sword, Golden Staff, and Corrosion Scythe. In this Mobile Legends guide, we’ll help you get started with building Claude for various in-game situations.

Mobile Legends Claude Gameplay Tips

Like every other Marksman, positioning is very crucial when playing Claude. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Mobile Legends Claude guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.

Early Game

Claude is very weak in the early game like most other Marksman, so be careful until you get the Trinity Build. Unlock your Skill 1 first and hit minions plus your opposition sidelaner to get the maximum amount of stacks to clear the lane faster. Be sure to be at a safe distance while doing this. You can use your Second skill to check bushes for potential threats or to clear lanes from a safe distance.

Mid Game

After getting Demon Hunter, Claude is ready to deal a decent amount of damage. Be sure to rotate and gank whenever have a chance. If Turtle is about to spawn in your lane pay attention to the map for a possible gank and use your ultimate at the right time.

Always prioritize mage and enemy marksman first as they are squishy. Don’t forget to charge your stacks to the max before using your Ultimate as max-stacked Claude deals more damage by using Ultimate. Don’t risk yourself and chase for kills, farming is important as like every marksman Claude too shines in the late game.

Late Game

After getting all the items Claude is now ready to bring hell for his enemies. Position yourself behind the tank and continuously use your first skill to slow down enemies as well as deal damage. Keeping your stack max is an important skill to master Claude properly.

Don’t waste your Second skill unnecessarily as it can help you escape from or chase down an enemy. Keep in mind that Claude’s Ultimate has a circular range so you don’t need to always jump into the middle of the enemies to deal damage, just make sure your targeted enemies are inside this range.

Claude is not a nightmare for most of his fellow marksmen but CC-equipped marksmen like Moskov, and Brody, mages like Kadita, and Eudora, fighters like Zilong, and Guinevere, tanks like Hylos, and Franco can be proved dangerous as these all can disrupt his Ultimate midway.

Final Thoughts

Claude is a great choice against almost all hero, but as most other marksman he too is vulnerable to Assassins. Yet thanks to his unique blink skill, he can get out of sticky situations if played properly. An excellent pick for rank games, Claude is definitely a good pick for the current meta.
