League of Legends: Wild Rift Draven Gameplay Tips

Ezreal is a good champion for starters due to his attacking and escaping capabilities and sniping with his ultimate is a game-changer. It needs to be remembered that the Wild Rift’s Map is a mirror so one needs to understand the map side before starting to lane. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift Draven guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.

Laning Phase

Draven, in the early laning phase, deals an insane amount of damage. You start off with unlocking the 1st ability which throws a spinning ax that ricochets off the target high up into the air. The key to playing Draven is catching his blades when they land and keep poking the opponent from range. For that, you need to have an idea where the blade would land once you throw it. If you’re moving in a certain direction, throwing the blade would make it land a little ahead of where you are standing.

Furthermore, how far the blade lands depends on your movement speed, you can test it by standing in one place and hitting the minion, the blade would land almost on you. If you keep getting the blade back after throwing it, the cooldown of your 2nd ability keeps resetting which means even if you miss the blade, you can cast it right away. But, if after casting, you still miss the blade, you’ll have to wait for the ability to cool down. The second ability increases movement & attack speed. Use it in combo with your 1st ability and the damage would be insane. Using all this to punish your opponent in the early lane and getting early kills will go on in aiding to win the game.

Mid Game

Draven, if gets early kills, wreaks havoc. After dominating his lane, he can gank other lanes and help teammates secure kills and win their lane and assist the jungler to take objectives. Draven getting early kills can later on one-shot his opponent. Draven can be the foundation of winning the game if the team sticks with him.

Late Game

Draven in the late game is the true depiction of an executioner. He is literally one shot at this point. He bleeds his opponent and doing a pentakill in a 5v5 situation is no big deal. By playing with the team in team fights, he can help them win it easily and then proceed to win the game.

Final Thoughts

Draven is a high damage marksman in the early game, he has a lot of potentials to dive in head-on and secure some early kills. It is crucial for Draven to get early kills and then he can continue to execute and delete enemy champions with ease. Even when you think you have finally escaped the blades of Draven, he bleeds you with his ultimate throwing two massive blades in your direction and bleeding you to death. If Draven gets some early kills, the game is already half won. Like he says himself, “Man, I’m good”, he is spitting facts. So all you Draven mains out there, let’s admire him for a bit.
