Week 1: October 01 to October 07

Executive Summary

In the first week of October 2024, Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge and EVE Galaxy Conquest launched, alongside The Sims Labs: Town Stories and Children of Morta. Haze Reverb opened pre-registration, while EA Sports FC Mobile Webstore is also in pre-registration. Legend of Kingdoms started its early access, and Darkwing Storm War is now in early access.

In other news, Japanese game developers are protesting against Global Compliance Mandates, Epic Games filed a lawsuit against Google and Samsung over Auto Blocker, Tencent is developing Codename Crime-Vice Open World, and SQUARE ENIX announced the upcoming shutdown of Romancing SaGa: Re;univerSe.

Week 2: October 08 to October 14

Executive Summary

In the second week of October 2024, Eldgear, A Space for the Unbound, and Resident Evil 2 Remake are now available for pre-order. Lightus is currently in Early Access, and NFL Primetime Fantasy is beginning its Closed Beta. GRID Legends: Deluxe Edition is set to launch later this year, and Dredge is scheduled to launch in December.

Additionally, Naruto x Boruto Ninja Voltage will shut down in December 2024, and Project R.I.S.E has launched its second Pre-Alpha for iOS, with an expanded Alpha test planned for Q1 2025. Week 3: October 15 to October 21

Executive Summary

Mobile gaming news in the third week of October 2024 saw Golden Spatula begin pre-registration in Southeast Asia, while Heaven Burns Red, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, and Carrion have also opened for pre-registration. Pocket Necromancer has officially launched globally, along with Ben 10: Alien Run and Neopets: Faerie Fragments, which are now available on mobile.

Neko Atsume 2 and Capybara Go! are also now available. In early access, MWT: Tank Battles has soft launched in select regions, and Destiny: Rising is set to start its closed alpha test. Week 4: October 22 to October 28

Executive Summary

In the fourth week, we had Rise of Eros: Desire and Core Keeper opened for pre-registration, while Stellar Traveler and Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium have begun closed beta testing. MLB PRO SPIRIT has launched in soft release, and Shadow of the Depth is now in open beta, with pre-registration also available. In upcoming launches, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is set for official release on December 3, and Total War: EMPIRE will arrive on November 21.

Shadow of the Depth, Etheria: Restart, and Crescent Moon Walk opening public beta. In other news, SEGA has filed a lawsuit against the developer of Memento Mori, and NCSOFT has announced the discontinuation of several titles alongside Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat in China and Netflix AAA Studio shutdowns.

Week 5: October 29 to October 31

Executive Summary

The final three days of October also had news in-store from the mobile gaming industry. Bloons Card Storm launched globally as Gran Saga is set to release on November 6, while The Ragnarok has opened for pre-download ahead of its launch in Southeast Asia. In the RPG realm, Lord of Nazarick will soon launch, and Dungeon & Fighter: ARAD has been announced.

Unfortunately, services for Magic Chronicle: Isekai RPG, Konosuba: Fantastic Days, The King of Fighters ALLSTAR and Pokémon Masters EX in Vietnam have officially ended. Netflix Games has unveiled its Winter 2024 lineup, and Nintendo Music is now available as a hub for Nintendo game music. Meanwhile, Sony has announced the shutdown of Neon Koi and Firewalk Studios.
