Pokémon Unite Mega Charizard X Movesets

Basic Attack

Deals continual damage. Deals additional damage to opposing Pokémon that have been burned by the user’s moves. Increases in range when the user evolves.

Passive ability

The Pokémon’s passive ability changes after Mega evolving. Its passive ability in Normal and Mega evolved form is highlighted below:

  • Solar Power (Normal Form): When the Pokémon uses a move, it deals increased damage but loses some HP. This ability’s effect does not trigger when the Pokémon is in tall grass. When The Pokémon deals damage with a basic attack to opposing Pokémon that have been burned by its moves, HP is restored.
  • Tough Claws (Mega Evolved Form): Gains a boost counter each time a move hits opposing Pokémon (maximum 3 counters). When a boost counter is consumed, the Pokémon’s next basic attack becomes a boosted attack and is guaranteed to be a critical hit. When the Pokémon deals damage with a basic attack to opposing Pokémon that have been burned by its moves, HP is restored.

Fire Punch

At Level 5, Mega Charizard X will have access to this ability. The ability details are highlighted below:

  • Has the user punch with a fiery fist, dealing damage and shoving opposing Pokémon when it hits. It also leaves the opposing Pokémon, it shoves burned. When the user has Mega Evolved, all Pokémon it hits are burned.
  • When the user Mega Evolves, it can charge power for a longer duration, dealing increased damage to opposing Pokémon, and shoving them.
  • Upgrade: Reduces the move’s cooldown every time a Basic attack hits.

Ability 2 – Fire Spin

Encircles opposing Pokémon in the area of effect in a vortex of fire. After this move hits, it deals damage over time and decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time.

Flare Blitz

Pokémon Unite Mega Charizard X Gameplay Tips

Our Pokémon Unite Mega Charizard X Guide will now discuss how to play and achieve a perfect game plan for the Pokémon across the game. The following division has two sections of the early and late game, which players must make sure to read till the end.

Early Game

In the early game, since Mega Charizard X starts as Charmander, you should prioritize safe farming for quick evolution. Use Flame Burst and Fire Spin to farm wild Pokémon and to apply lane pressure. Since both abilities apply burns, you can combo them to deal consistent damage while healing slightly using Basic attacks.

To reduce much HP loss from your passive ability, ensure to position near tall grass. Once you evolve into Charmeleon, your burn effects and overall stats increase, letting you trade effectively while preparing for your Mega Evolution. Therefore, focus on farming ceaselessly so you can unlock your Unite move and simultaneously Mega evolve, granting you powerful boosted attacks.

Prioritise helping your team’s attacker to farm efficiently and take down early epic Pokémon like the Rotom, Regligeck, or Regice as soon as possible. This would help your team level up as fast as possible, while securing crucial takedowns needed to seal the win for your team.

Mid and Late Game

Upon reaching your Mega Evolution via your ultimate ability, Mega Charizard X becomes an unstoppable frontline force. The Tough Claws passive turns your basic attacks into intense critical strikes, synergizing well with the boosted versions of Fire Punch and Flare Blitz for relentless combo pressure.

While in Mega Evolved Form, throw surrounding enemies with Flare Blitz, follow up with Fire Punch for burn, and shove them, while slashing them with your boosted basic attacks for extra sustain. In Mega form, Charizard becomes a powerful frontline bruiser, showcasing crowd control, burst damage, and sustain while contesting major objectives like Groudon and Regidragon.

Positioning of Mega Charizard X

The best path for Mega Charizard X would be the top or bottom Lane. Players should prioritise farming Aipoms and Audinos to level up efficiently. The cluster of Combees and Vespiqueen should be hunted down as much as possible to allow for increased exp and easy level-up.
