Skill Analysis
Ahri is a champion with the common five skill sets of one passive and four actives. In this Ahri guide, we are going to see how her abilities in LoL Wild Rift work and when you should use which skill to be in the best shape in the current rank season.
Passive – Essence Theft

Gains a stack of Essence Theft if her spell hits a target. At 3 stacks, Ahri´s next spell that hits an enemy heals her for 30 (+45% AP).
Skill 1 – Orb of Deception

Launches an orb that deals 40 magic damage (+35%) on the way out and 40 true damage (+35%) on the way back.
Skill 2 – Fox-Fire

Releases 3 fox-fires that seek nearby enemies and deal 40 magic damage (+30%). Ahri gains 40% Movement Speed that decays over 1.5 seconds. Enemies hit by multiple fox-fires take 30% damage for each fox-fire beyond the first. Fox-fires prioritize champions hit by Charm, followed by recently attacked enemies.
Skill 3 – Charm

Blows a kiss that deals 60 magic damage (+50%) and charms the first enemy hit, causing them to walk towards Ahri for 1.4 seconds. Enemies hit by Charm take 20% more damage from Ahri´s abilities for 5 seconds.
Skill 4 – Spirit Rush

Dashes forward and deals 60 magic damage ( +35%) to 3 nearby enemies. Can be cast up to 3 times within 10 seconds before going on cooldown. Dash distance increases with rank. Bolts prioritize champions.
Skill Up Methods for Ahri
Skill up the Ultimate whenever it is available. Regarding other skills, upgrade the 1st skill, then the 2nd skill, and lastly the 3rd skill.
Best Runes Setup and Spells for Ahri in Wild Rift
Runes Setup

Electrocute
Since Ahri´s playstyle is about bursting down the enemy champions as fast as possible, picking up Electrocute is a must and her core rune. The additional bonus AP damage will help secure Kills.
Hunter – Vampirism
This rune does not only synergizes with the Electrocute rune by giving more AP but also with Ahri´s passive by healing her with a magic vamp.
Bone Plating
If you are facing enemies who have strong combo attacks Bone Plating is the rune to go for. It will reduce the damage you will take by one champion which will make the laning phase much easier.
Manaflow Band
Ahri is a champion with a mana restriction which is a disadvantage against manaless champions so picking up Manaflow Band enables you to spam your abilities more especially in the early game.
Battle Spells
- Flash: As Ahri you already have a lot of mobility but having an extra get-out option is always good.
- Ignite: Since Ahri is a burst mage/assassin you would want to have as much damage as possible. Ignite gives you that and also enables you to secure kills who otherwise would have gotten away.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Ahri Gameplay Tips
As we figured out Ahri is an Assassin/Mage best suited to being played in the Mid Lane. Always remember that the Wild Rift’s Map is a mirror so make sure you understand the map side before starting to lane. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift Ahri guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.
Early Game
You start the game by analyzing you opponent and Ahri´s own strength and weaknesses. If you are facing an oppressive lane you would want to try and farm safely under your own turret by either freezing or slow pushing the wave. During that try to put a ward in either the enemy´s jungle or in the riverside ( top or bottom). If you are the stronger champion you can try to poke the enemy champion and fast push the lane into the enemy tower.

An All-In is advised after reaching level 5 and unlocking Ahri´s Ultimate. After pushing the wave try to help out other lanes if you see an good opportunity. Roaming is one of Ahri´s strongest assets since she is a very mobile champion so you can easily get back to lane with the speed boost of her second skill.
Mid Game
Before the first dragon and probably the first teamfight you should always make sure to push your lane into the enemy’s turret to force the enemy to clean the lane. Item wise try to get back in time before the dragon spawns so you will not be late to the fight.

If you have enough time before the dragon try to gank the dragon lane to help your team having an numbers advantage by successfully eliminating the enemy ADC or support. If that is not possible try to lower their health bar as much as possible so you force them to recall thus making them not be present at the dragon fight.
Late Game
During the Late Game as an Ahri player you want to farm up safely while also looking out for potential enemy take downs. Always remember that Ahri herself is a very squishy champion so think about all enemy´s whereabouts before assassinating a target. During team, fights try to position yourself properly by using Ahri´s second skill and/or her ultimate. You might want to try specific skill combos like this to unleash her full potential.
Ultimate + Skill 3 + Skill 2 + Skill 1 + Basic Attack
Champs that counter Ahri | Champs that Ahri counters |
---|---|
Ziggs | Akali |
Yasuo | Orianna |
Annie | Lux |
Final Thoughts
Ahri is definitely a beginner-friendly champion who can still dominate in high elo games if used properly. She has good mobility and disengages with her ultimate and second skill, a strong one-person cc with her third skill, and true damage on her first skill. Nevertheless, she can only take out one champion at a time so you have to focus accordingly during team fights. She is one of the “ easy to play but hard to master” champions in the Rift.
