Pokémon Unite Articuno Movesets
Basic Attack
Has the user hurl ice, applying a slowing effect and dealing damage to opposing Pokémon.
Passive – Snow Cloak
After using a move, the Pokémon is cloaked in frost for a short time, reducing damage taken. If the Pokémon uses a move to surround itself in snow, it further reduces damage taken and increases the effect’s duration.
Icy Wind, Blizzard, and Ice Wing Whiteout apply a freeze counter to opposing Pokémon they hit. If an opposing Pokémon’s freeze counter reaches 0, that Pokémon becomes frozen.
Ability 1 – Icy Wind
Articuno blasts a gust of chilled air in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and causing snow to fall, freezing the ground for a short time.
Ability Choice at Level 5
At Level 5, Articuno will be able to use the following ability:
Blizzard
You can summon a howling blizzard centered on yourself, applying a freeze counter and dealing damage to opposing Pokémon. If an opposing Pokémon’s freeze counter reaches 5, that Pokémon becomes frozen.
Upgrade: Increases the number of freeze counters applied to opposing Pokémon to 2.
Ability 2 – Ice Shard
Has the user hurl a chunk of ice in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits. If this move hits an opposing Pokémon that has a freeze counter, that Pokémon becomes instantly frozen. If this move hits an opposing Pokémon that is frozen, the ice shatters to deal additional damage.
Ability Choice at Level 7
At Level 7, Articuno will be able to use the following ability:
Ice Beam
Has the user shoot out a beam of icy-cold energy in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon. If this move hits an opposing Pokémon that has a freeze counter, that Pokémon becomes frozen. If this move hits an opposing Pokémon that is frozen, the ice shatters to deal additional damage.
Upgrade: Increases the duration this move leaves opposing Pokémon frozen
Unite Move – Ice Wing Whiteout
You can summon a raging blizzard centered on yourself, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon. If this move’s first hit is on an opposing Pokémon that is frozen, the ice shatters to deal additional damage.
If this move hits one of your team’s goal zones, that goal zone will freeze over, and Pokémon from the opposing team will be unable to score in it. The ice covering the goal zone will disappear after the goal zone receives a set amount of damage from Pokémon from the opposing team.

Pokémon Unite Articuno Gameplay Tips
Our Pokémon Unite Articuno Guide will now discuss how to play and achieve a perfect game plan for the Pokémon across the game. The following division has two sections of the early and late game, which players must make sure to read till the end.
Early Game
In terms of laning, you should go to the Top/Bottom Lane while using Articuno. Doing this will allow you to easily protect allies on the battlefield. In the early game, focus on safe farming and slowing enemies in the lane.
Use Icy Wind to clear wild Pokémon and control space, since it freezes the ground and makes it harder for enemies to move freely. Follow up with Ice Shard to deal damage and freeze targets that already have freeze counters.

Since Articuno’s passive, Snow Cloak, reduces damage after using moves, ensure to use your abilities to poke enemies and stay tanky. Do remember to also stay close to your lane partner, assisting them and preventing them from overextending. Your goal is to reach Level 5 quickly and begin controlling fights better with your upgraded abilities.
Mid and Late Game
On reaching Level 5, Icy Wind upgrades into Blizzard, and at Level 7, Ice Shard upgrades into Ice Beam, forming its core combo. This combo focuses on freezing and controlling multiple enemy targets during fights. Start with Blizzard to apply freeze counters to multiple enemies around you. Once they have enough stacks, follow up with Ice Beam to instantly freeze them and deal extra damage.

This combo works best in grouped fights and tight areas, most especially when contesting core objectives like Goal Zones, Groudon, and Regieleki. Even better, Articuno’s Unite Move – Ice Wing Whiteout is a major game-changer in the late game phase. It deals strong area damage and works well when enemies are already frozen, dealing extra damage. It can also freeze your goal zone, preventing enemies from scoring, which is very useful when protecting against late-game push.
Therefore, ensure to Position Articuno around major late-game objectives currently under pressure, as you can effectively dish out freeze and slow effects to enemies. Coordinate with your allies, particularly your team’s speedster and attacker so they can easily swoop in and deliver burst damage when enemies are under your control.
Positioning of Articuno
The best path for Articuno would be the Top or the Bottom Lane. Allowing you to easily rotate across lanes to help allies.
