Another Indian gaming event, Games Summit 2023 is on the horizon, set to kick off on September 14th in Bangalore, India. The awaited Monster Hunter Now also got a soft launch in select countries. Mobile gaming continues to thrive, with revenue forecasts predicting it to reach $92.6 billion by 2023. SEGA Europe has confirmed the acquisition of Rovio Entertainment Corporation, the creators of Angry Birds.

Week 3: August 15 to August 21

Executive Summary

Once again, we had plenty of mobile launches and gaming news this week, the third in August 2023, including War Thunder Mobile, CARRIEVERSE, and the China debut of MapleStory: The Legends of Maple, with soft launches in Black Clover M and Forza Customs. In the same week, Super Evil Megacorp unveiled a new UK Studio whereas new game announcements came in the likes of Delta Force: Hawk Ops, Project Akatsuki, and Project MUGEN.

Week 4: August 22 to August 28

Executive Summary

A week filled with releases once again as Metal Slug: Awakening, Overmortal, DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE, BRIXITY, all either got global or selected region launches. Meanwhile, Super Evil Megacorp announced working on the Rebel Moon game while KRAFTON acquired the IP license of Dark and Darker for Mobile. Week 5: August 29 to August 31

Executive Summary

The fifth week of August 2023 has a smaller number of days, so less days for mobile gaming news for sure. Yet, we saw five new launches in Battlesmiths: Blade and Forge, Envoy S, Marvel Move, CABAL, and the selected region launch of Fate: Goddess Awakening.
