Pokémon Unite Typhlosion Movesets

Basic Attack

We will update these ability details when the Pokémon releases on April 24th, 2026.

Passive – Blaze

When Typhlosion deals damage to opposing Pokémon, its rage increases. When it reaches Peak rage, its Sp. Atk is increased, its Moves are boosted, and its Moves cooldown is reduced. Afterwards, Rage does not increase for a set amount of time.

This Pokémon also evolves from Cindaquil (Level 1-4) to Quilava (Level 5-6), before finally evolving into Typhlosion at Level 7.

Ability 1 – Ember

Has the user attack by shooting small flames at up to 2 opposing Pokémon. When the user is at peak range, this move will target up to 3 opposing Pokémon and leave them burned when it hits.

Ability Choice at Level 5

At Level 5, Typhlosion will be able to use the following ability:

Flame Wheel

Typhlosion cloaks itself in fire and charges forward, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and leaving them unable to act. It is also granted a shield effect, and the next basic attack becomes a boosted attack.

If Typhlosion hits an opposing Pokémon, the user jumps and crashes down, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to nearby opposing Pokémon. When Typhlosion is at peak range, the opposing Pokémon it hits upon landing are thrown.

Ability 2 – Tackle

Typhlosion charges, slamming into the designated opposing Pokémon with its whole body, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to them, and granting the user a shield effect.

After this move is used, the user’s next basic attack becomes a boosted attack. When the user is at peak range, opposing Pokémon it hits are left unable to act.

Ability Choice at Level 7

At Level 7, Typhlosion will be able to use the following ability:

Eruption

Typhlosion launches flames skyward 3 times in an explosive fury. The flames then rain down on nearby opposing Pokémon, dealing damage. Whenever Typhlosion is at peak rage, the number of flames increases by 1.

Unite Move – Explosive Heat Haze

Typhlosion creates a shock wave by rubbing its blazing fur together, dealing damage to nearby opposing Pokémon and shoving them. The surrounding area is then engulfed in searing flames, dealing damage over time to opposing Pokémon.

Typhlosion also blends into the searing flames and becomes hard to see, and opposing Pokémon outside of the flames are unable to target it. This is certainly a game-changing move, especially during the late game phase.

Pokémon Unite Typhlosion Gameplay Tips

Our Pokémon Unite Typhlosion Guide will now discuss how to play and achieve a perfect game plan for the Pokémon across the game. The following division has two sections of the early and late game, which players must make sure to read till the end.

Early Game

In terms of laning, you should go to the Jungle/Top Lane while using Typhlosion. In the early phase, focus on safe farming and building pressure from a range. Utilize your first skill, Ember, to hit multiple targets and apply burn damage, especially when enemies are grouped. Also, ensure to position yourself at the farthest range from the enemy to continually poke more targets and deal more serious damage.

Use Tackle to easily reposition by engaging with or escaping enemies. It also gives you a shield, giving you a higher chance of survival. Since Typhlosion is quite squishy, ensure to play behind your frontline and avoid overextending. This way, you can easily trigger Peak Rage from your Passive ability and simultaneously increase your overall damage output.

Mid and Late Game

On reaching Level 5, Ember upgrades into Flame Wheel, and at Level 7, Tackle upgrades into Eruption, forming its core combo. This combo focuses on granting mobility, burst damage, and area pressure for Typhlosion on the battlefield. Ensure to use Flame Wheel to dash in, deal damage, and briefly disable enemies while gaining a shield, then follow up with Eruption to rain down flames and hit multiple targets.

When at peak rage, Eruption becomes stronger with more flames, making this combo very effective in team fights and objective fights. Typhlosion’s Unite move, “Explosive Heat Haze,” is best used during major objective fights in the late game where enemies are grouped. It deals serious damage, pushes enemies away, and creates a burning area that continues to damage opponents.

While inside the flames, Typhlosion becomes harder to target, making it a lot safer during fights. This allows you to deal damage while avoiding enemy focus, giving your team a strong advantage, especially when contesting core objectives like Goal Zones, Groudon, and Regieleki.

Positioning of Typhlosion

The best path for Typhlosion would be the Top or the Jungle Lane. Allowing you to easily farm and rotate across lanes to help allies.

Typhlosion with other Pokémon

Our Pokémon Unite Typhlosion guide also discusses the relationship between Typhlosion and other Pokémon.

Best synergies with Typhlosion

Typhlosion is best paired with Defenders or Support-type Pokémon, as they can help provide extra defense and utility needed during crucial fights.
