Pokémon Unit February 2024 Tier List: Meta picks

This section separately analyses every role’s tier list, while also suggesting the best Pokémon out of the respective roles.

Best Attacker – Venusaur

As of April 2023, Venusaur takes the top spot among the attackers. Venusaur is still dominating the stadium with the HP-draining move of Giga Drain and its cooldown reduction synergy with Petal Dance. What’s more, it can be an effective sniper (with huge damage) with the use of a Solar Beam. Whether players are facing a crowd of enemies up close or from long range, Venusaur is a great attacker for any team to have currently. Chandelure can also be a good choice.

Best Defender – Mamoswine

The Ground and Ice-type Pokémon Mamoswine is one of the best disabler Pokémon in the game. With so many crowd control moves it can stomp its way through defenses and open up opportunities for its team to push. Additionally, its sturdy nature allows it to initiate and stay in fights much longer.

Best Allrounder – Zacian

There should be no surprises regarding this selection. Zacian is a combination of strength, durability, and speed. It can boost its own moves thanks to its ability, Intrepid Sword, increasing their damage and triggering additional effects. It’s also quite agile for an All-Rounder thanks to its stock of Dash moves. Mewtwo X is a close rival.

Best Speedster – Meowscarada

Many would choose Zoroark for this part, however, the battle is evenly contested for us, with Meowscarada slightly edging past Zoroark, with its speed. Meowscarada fits the Speedster role perfectly due to its fast-paced, roaming gameplay. Players will find its unite move and mobility to be a powerful tool in realizing the Pokémon’s strengths. It’s best played as a solo scorer that puts pressure on enemies and keeps them on their toes to defend their goals.

Best Supporter – Sableye

Sableye brings a unique twist to the Supporter formula. It can turn invisible thanks to its passive ability, Prankster, which opens up a lot of new ways to support your team by sneaking. Additionally, Sableye is the first Supporter Pokémon to have an Attack stat (and not Sp. Atk.), which allows players to take advantage of aggressive Held Items that can turn the Pokémon into a hard-hitting damage dealer. Although its moveset does not offer the typical heals and shields a normal Supporter has, it has its own ways of becoming the best Supporter in the game.
