April has moved by just as quickly as the other three months. If I am talking mobile gaming, it came a good stream of updates, announcements, and a few surprises too. Just like usual, in my attempt to bring everything together in one place, here’s a quick roundup of the biggest mobile gaming news from April 2026.

Week 1: April 01 to April 07

Executive Summary

The first week of April itself had said everything about how the month would go. Sea of Stars and DropShot Mobile led the global releases, while Monster Hunter Outlanders, and Petit Planet pushed forward with new test phases.

Pre-registrations went live for ALLfiring, Mori Tale, Dragon Blood: Slayers Academy in Japan, and Game of Thrones: Dragonfire, alongside announcements like Chaos W, Waltz of the Wizard, Ki-Gou Keikaku, and My Hero Academia UNITED SURVIVAL.

Industry activity included Rise of Kingdoms returning to India, Boom Beach expanding to PC, Barbie collaboration in My Talking Angela 2, and the viral KitKat crossover trend, alongside broader April Fools content across gaming.

Meanwhile, shutdowns dominated headlines with Rec Room, unVEIL the world, Disney Heroes: Battle Mode, and Mr Love: Queen’s Choice confirming end of service.

Week 2: April 08 to April 14

Executive Summary

Week two continued the flow that the first week had brought in. Global releases included OneState RP, Jetpack Joyride Racing, and Hidden around the World, alongside Borderlands Mobile’s surprise iOS launch in the US.

Week 3: April 15 to April 21

Executive Summary

Soft launches continued with Spirit GO, Haunted Headlines: Don’t Scream, Attack on Zombies, and MythPalz, while The Old Man & the Demon Sword entered early access.

RF ONLINE NEXT, UFL Mobile, Guild Wars Reforged, Replicat, and Silent Whispers were the latest to bring in pre-registrations for mobile, alongside announcements like Minishoot’ Adventures, FIFA Heroes, Lumi Master, and Totopia.

As of other updates, we had CounterSide halting development and Xbox CEO reaffirming the company’s mobile store plans, while shutdowns included Brave Frontier Versus, Astra: Knights of Veda, and Grimlight delisting.

Week 5: April 29 to April 30

Executive Summary

The last two days had their share of news. Eternal Rebirth: Oversouler, Yummy Tteokbokki ASMR, and Last Hunter K: Seoul launched on mobile, while Neverness to Everness marked its much awaited global release across multiple platforms.

Pre-registrations opened for Abyssal Soul and MLB The Show Mobile, alongside announcements for The Walking Dead: Aftermath and Tomb Busters confirming its global launch date. Meanwhile, Eversoul confirmed its global shutdown, wrapping up April with another major service closure.
