Mobile Legends Minotaur Gameplay Tips

Minotaur got some adjustment recently but his core gameplay still stays the same. Minotaur is not very tanky in the early game. He cannot tank much damage in the early level and also does not have much cc in the early game. It is better to play safely in the early game and always rotate with the Core or Jungler.

However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Mobile Legends Minotaur guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.

Early Game

As is mentioned earlier Minotaur is not very strong in the early game. It is suggested to play him passively in early and tank objectives with the Jungler and mage. He does not have much CC skill to save his allies early so giving map vision is better than tanking big teamfight head to head at this stage.

Mid Game

Minotaur shines in the mid-game. After unlocking his ultimate, it will allow him to charge his rage meter. His rage can be increased by holding the Ultimate skill for a while and it will fill almost 40% rage and his Crowed control ultimate unlocks only at full rage meter. Always try to maintain rage around or above 50% as indicated by Mino’s red bar even on idle or when the enemies are far from the map.

Players may hit a few jungle/minions to allow it to charge, while Level 4 allows you to charge manually. The 50-60% rage meter (half-filled) gives allowance to charge the rage in case of teamfight, but also provides a sufficient buffer so it won’t activate Rage Mode when players don’t want it to.

Always look at the Mini-map and charge to 80-90% based on enemy positioning and your current objective. With this amount of rage meter, players may be able to dive enemies and activate rage mode after a few hits or allow quick activation in case the enemy is the one who initiated.

Late Game

Minotaur is one the strongest tanks in the late game because of this wide range CC ultimate skill. He becomes very annoying to deal with, he also gains a lot of Hp with items and he is very hard to kill in with full build because of his regen ability, it gives sufficient amount of Hp back to escape from bad stations and his teammates also gets Hp back, which is very effective to stay longer in team fights.

He does not have to go back to base to heal up. His one ultimate can change the whole match at this stage. Always stay near teammates. Think of tanking as being territorial, defending your teammates, your tower, and the jungle.  Besides defending, lead the battle and seize new territory by killing enemies or forcing them to retreat.

Macro skills are about what’s beyond ability range and decision-making for short-term and long-term strategies, more than what’s happening in front of the player. It would be the best to ping ‘attack’ when the player is ready to use to notify your teammates and make sure to get at least 2-3 damage dealers in the range of the ult. If one particular enemy damage dealer is getting considerably strong, the player might want to ensure that they are in your ultimate area.

Final Thoughts

Our oldest tank, Minotaur is not picked that often in both Low and High-rank matches. He fell behind, because of his difficulty controlling rage and needs high practice to become good with this tank, whereas other tanks are easy to use and not very difficult to learn like Tigreal, Hylos, Gatotkaca, and more. Developers made many adjustments throughout the whole time. Recently, Minotaur got a great revamp; his skills are adjusted to fit in the current meta.

An excellent pick for rank games, Minotaur is definitely a good pick for the current meta. These tips will surely help you to guide easy wins with Minotaur in Mobile Legends. You can also refer to our latest tier list to know more about the revamped meta heroes in this current season.
