Gord has three active skills and a passive skill like most of the other heroes in-game. In this Mobile Legends guide, we will also talk about these skills to use in certain scenarios as well as skill combos to be able to play Gord to his maximum potential.
Passive – Mystic Favor
Dealing 4 hits of Basic Attacks or skill damage to the same target within a short period of time, grants a bonus of 160(+70% Total Magic Power) True Damage on the next attack.
Skill 1 – Mystic Projectile
Gord throws a Mystic Projectile that jumps forward at a designated area. Upon hitting an enemy unit, the projectile will deal 270/315/360/405/450/495(+80% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage in the area and stun enemies for 1s.
Skill 2 – Mystic Injuction
Gord summons an energy field in a designated area, dealing 80/95/100/110/125 (+20% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage every 0.45s, for up to 10 times.
Ultimate Skill – Mystic Gush
Gord unleashes an energy beam in a designated direction that lasts for 3s, dealing 220/285/350 (+50% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage every 0.3s to enemies hit and slowing them by 20%. The direction of the beam can be changed using the Left Joystick.
Skill-up method for Gord
It is advisable to first unlock and prioritize Skill 2 as it helps to easily clear minion waves while laning. Upgrade Skill 1 accordingly and prioritize the Ultimate whenever available
Best Emblem set and Spells for Gord in Mobile Legends
This Custom Mage Emblem build provides extra Magic Power as well as Magic Penetration needed to decimate enemies while on the battlefield. In the first tier, we choose Flow as it grants extra Magic Power which is needed for the early game advantage. While in the Second Tier, choose Observation as it provides extra Magic Penetration needed to burst down heroes with high magic defensive items.
Lastly in the second tier, select Magic Worship as it is the best and most ideal talent to use for a mage like Gord. This is so since it applies a burning effect on enemies whenever at least 7% of their Hp is lost, this should be easy to trigger as Gord can easily melt and burst down enemies with his skills.
- Flameshot: This battle spell is useful as it provides extra Magic Damage during fights. If placed well it can also be used to hit and kill fleeing dot-life enemies. It also provides a special knock-back effect which is useful especially when fleeing from enemy ganks.
- Flicker: This skill is useful as an escape tool, especially during enemy ganks. Flicker can also be used to place a perfect ultimate on enemy heroes especially when they are fleeing, as using Flicker won’t interrupt Gord’s ultimate ability.
- Aegis: This Battle spell can be essential as it provides extra durability through the shield it provides.
Best Builds for Gord in Mobile Legends
One can try many builds on Gord. All one needs to do is to just follow the enemy’s pick and then decide the role on the battlefield. We have set out the following template to try out with Gord on the battlefield.
This Magic Damage build provides Magic Power as well as Magic Penetration needed to decimate and burst down enemies while on the battlefield. It is advisable to go with Demon Boots as it provides enough mana Regen when using Gord’s skills, as his abilities can be easily spammed and used to poke enemies.
Next, Build the Ice Queen wand as it provides magic lifesteal as well as extra Magic power, but more importantly this equipment provides a unique passive that slows down enemy units that are hit by your skills, making it harder for them to escape from Gord’s highly poking skills. Then, build Glowing Wand as it has a unique passive which burns enemies whenever they receive damage from Gord’s skills, this extra burn effect would make it much harder for enemies to efficiently Regen HP and in most cases, might actually cause death to flee dot-life enemies.
Other equipment like Lightning Truncheon, Holy Crystal provides extra Magic Power and damage needed to burst down even the tankiest of heroes. Lastly, choose Divine Glaive for extra Magic Penetration when dealing damage to heroes with high magic defensive items. Winter Truncheon can also be useful as spare equipment depending on the situation, especially when faced with one-shot kill enemy heroes like Aldous, Hayabusa, Yin, Eudora, etc.
Mobile Legends Gord Gameplay Tips
As discussed before, Gord can easily melt down the HP of his enemies with his ultimate ability. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Mobile Legends Gord guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.
In the early game, one is advised to focus on farming and lane clearing while proceeding to the mid-lane. Place Gord’s Skill 2 in such a way that it is within the area of the three minions in the lane, doing this will properly deal AOE damage to all the minions hence efficiently clearing them with ease.
After unlocking Gord’s Skill 1, place it in such a way that it bounces to meet enemy targets, one can also try to place the projectile directly on enemy targets to prevent enemies from dodging it. Also while Laning does try to assist your team’s jungles in case enemies are invading your team’s jungle. Do note that, when enemies stay within Gord’s skill 2 whilst the skill is cast, Gord’s passive will be triggered which implies that true damage is going to be dealt with enemies.
So to properly maximize the damage output of Gord’s second skill tries to follow up with Gord’s first skill so as to stun enemies while dealing a huge amount of continuous magic damage to them. You can additionally perform the following skill combos to gain an upper hand on the battlefield:
Skill 2 + Skill 1 (Offensive)
Skill 1 + Skill 2 (Defensive)
After having core items like Ice Queen Wand and Glowing Wand, Gord starts to outshine on the battlefield on the battlefield as he can easily spam his skills while dishing out high burst magic damage to them. When trying to use Gord’s ultimate try to wait before your team’s tank or teamfight initiator to start a fight.
But if your team lacks one, one could actually use the stun from Gord’s skill 1 to CC enemies before placing the ultimate to burst them down. As always all this must be done from a safer distance. If one is equipped with Battlespells like Flameshot or Flicker one could cast either of the spells while the ultimate is on to properly guarantee the enemy’s death, do note that using any of these spells won’t cancel the ultimate.
In the Late Game, during team fights try to play safely while poking enemies from a distance as Gord can be quite squishy in the late game phase as enemies may have fully completed their build by then. Also while in the late game phase do try to avoid soloing so as to prevent risky enemy ganks, so rotate lanes with a tank or fighter to increase your durability in this game phase.
Lastly, just in case your team is about to steal the lord from enemies who are already attacking the lord, do try to make good use of Gord’s ultimate to easily melt down lord’s HP and take the lord for your team, but as always one’s Timing matters.
