Skill Analysis

Freya possesses 4 skills, including her passive. In this Freya guide, let’s see what her abilities are in Mobile Legends, and when you can use which skill to get the best out of her.

Passive – Power Of Einherjar (Buff)

Freya gains 1 Sacred Orb with each Basic Attack (up to 6 Sacred Orbs). Consuming 1 Sacred Orb grants Freya 100% Attack Speed for her next Basic Attack (max 6 stacks). Sacred Orbs gradually recover when out of combat.

Freya leaps to the target area and strikes the ground with her shield, gaining lots of shield and dealing Physical Damage to enemies within range while knocking them airborne for 0.45 seconds.

Skill 2 – Valkyrie Slash (Mobility, Damage)

Freya charges forward and slashes, dealing with Physical Damage and slowing enemies by 30% for 0.5s. This skill has no base cooldown but consumes 2 Sacred Orbs per cast. This skill also deals 50% damage to Creeps.

Ultimate Skill – Valkyrie Descent (Morph, Shield)

Freya selects a target area and dives down as a Sacred Orb, dealing Physical Damage and 40% slow to enemies in her path and at the landing point for 2 seconds. Upon landing, Freya enters the Valkyrie state for 12s, during which her Basic Attacks deal extra damage (extra damage cannot Crit) and she recovers HP per Basic Attack, and her Basic Attacks deal splash damage.

Skill-up method for Freya

Unlock her second skill first and then her first skill. The second skill is her primary damage source. Try to maximize the second skill first and upgrade the Ultimate whenever possible.

Best Emblem Set and Spells for Freya in Mobile Legends

Emblem Setup

To make Freya’s gameplay more effective in the Exp lane, players are expected to use the Custom Assassin Emblem for Extra penetration and attack potential. Players can use whichever Talent suits them best for their gameplay.

The Custom Assassin Emblem, ever since its Revamp, provides players with access to three different talents. Hence, for the Freya Emblem setup, the following setup is expected of players :

  • In the First-tier Talent, we choose Rupture for its extra Penetration, especially when facing tanky opponents.
  • In the Second-tier Talent, you should pick Weapons master as it greatly boosts Freya’s overall attack output.
  • In the Third Tier Talent, you should pick War Cry. This talent increases Freya’s damage the more she attacks enemies, making her an overwhelming force on the battlefield.

Battle Spells

  • Flicker is a good choice for Freya as it allows her to easily reposition depending on the situation.
  • Inspire is also a good spell for Freya, as it greatly enhances her attack potential when combined with her ultimate.
  • Players who want to Jungle with Freya should choose the Retribution spell for extra advantage.

Best Builds for Freya in Mobile Legends

Revamped Freya’s abilities highlight burst damage attacks, CC, and sustain. Her damage output is mainly dependent on basic attacks. Therefore, it is best to build items that boost her attack potential, sustain, and critical attack chance. In this guide, we will break down the builds for Freya in Mobile Legends.

  • It is advisable to build Tough boots for extra magic defense and CC reduction.
  • For the second item, you can get Blade of Despair, which greatly boosts Freya’s attack output.
  • For the third item, choose Great Dragon Spear. This is a good choice as the item not only grants extra Critical Chance, but it also increases Freya’s movement speed after she ults. Allowing her to engage and catch up with enemies while in the Valkyrie state.
  • For the fourth item, you can go for Endless Battle, as it enhances her basic attack damage.
  • You can opt for Sea Halberd or Malefic Roar depending on enemy composition. Since Seal Halberd helps against high-sustain enemies, while Malefic Roar grants extra Penetration for tanky enemies.
  • For your last item, build Brute Force Breastplate as it grants extra mobility, defense, and CC reduction. These perks will be really useful in the Late game.

Mobile Legends Freya Gameplay Tips

Thanks to her abilities, Freya can be quite aggressive right from the start of the game. She is quite strong at the beginning of the game and is even stronger with her ultimate ability. Therefore, it is best to play it safe and focus on farming early on. Our Freya guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, middle, and late game in Mobile Legends.

Early Game

Freya can be played as an Exp laner or Jungler, though it is best to use her as an Exp laner. Regardless, Freya is relatively strong in laning because of her high damage and low cooldown. She needs to farm as much as possible during this stage to level up and acquire items that can boost her damage output. Therefore, farm by constantly clearing minion waves, or clearing jungle buff (when jungling).

You can also use the following combo to dominate enemies during the early game:

Skill 1 + Basic Attack + Skill 2 + Skill 2 + Basic Attacks

By playing aggressively and attacking, Freya should also farm the jungle monster and the minion wave alone in the exp lane. If possible, rotate between the Top and Mid lanes and don’t keep any idle monsters or minions.

Mid Game

Freya truly starts to shine mid-game once she unlocks her Ultimate. Begin looking for opportunities to engage or counter-initiate fights using her leap for crowd control. On landing, use your Ult to dive into clustered enemies and deal massive splash basic attack damage while gaining sustain via your Ult’s passive.

Ensure to always maintain at least two or more Sacred Orbs before entering combat to maximize your mobility and attack speed. As Freya’s burst and sustain make her a reliable frontliner, ensure to help your teammates secure core objectives like Lord and Turtle.

Late Game

The late game of Freya is to complete the objective of winning the match by stealing chances. Almost all enemy heroes are levelled up in the late game and can deal effective damage. Freya cannot efficiently initiate the charge now; it has to be done by the tank in the team.

Therefore, use your first skill to isolate key targets, followed by enhanced basic attacks from your ultimate for sustained burst damage output. You can also use the following combo to dominate enemies during the Late game:

Skill 1 + Skill 2 + ULT+ Skill 2+ Basic Attack +Skill 2

Also, don’t drag the game much when using Freya, especially when your damage dealers aren’t doing well. Try to finish the game as soon as possible when using Freya.
