Skill Analysis

Ixia has three active skills and a passive skill including one special ultimate skill like most heroes in the game. In this Mobile Legends guide, we will also talk about the skills to use in certain scenarios as well as skill combos to be able to play Ixia to her maximum potential.

Passive – Siphon Starlium (Damage, Heal)

Mobile Legends Patch 1.7.78 Update

Ixia’s Basic Attacks and Skills apply a stack of Starlium Charge to enemies on hit. When Ixia performs a Basic Attack on an enemy with two stacks of Starlium Charge, the attack will consume the stacks and be replaced with Siphon Starlium, dealing (+150% Total Physical Attack) (+200 × Lifesteal) plus (+10 × Hero Level) Physical Damage to the target.

Ixia recovers HP equal to the damage dealt by Siphon Starlium (only 20 (+100 × Lifesteal)% against non-hero units). Siphon Starlium can trigger on all enemies in front of Ixia that are within her Basic Attack range, but it cannot critically strike. Ixia’s Basic Attacks cannot trigger Lifesteal.

Skill 1 – Dual Beam (Burst)

Ixia fires 2 Starlium-charged energy beams along the ground in the target direction, dealing 125/145/165/185/205/225 (+60% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies in a rectangular area and slowing enemy heroes by 40%. Upon hitting an enemy hero, Ixia also gains 40% Movement Speed for 3 seconds. Enemies hit by both beams will take double damage.

Skill 2 – Star Helix (Crowd Control)

Ixia launches a canister of Starlium energy in the target direction, knocking back nearby enemies, ad pulling enemies in range to the center line after a short delay and dealing 200/220/240/260/280/300 (+60% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage.

Skill 3 – Full Barrage (Area of Effect)

Mobile Legends Patch 1.7.78 Update

Ixia disassembles her weapon into 6 smaller weapons and enters the Barrage state for 5 seconds. Ixia cannot move in this state, but her Basic Attacks and skills can hit enemies in a large fan-shaped area in front of her. In this state, Ixia’s Basic Attacks can hit up to 6 enemy units (prioritized heroes) in the same area. Within the duration,  Siphon Starlium also deals 60/150/240 extra damage whilst Skill is active.

Skill-up method for Ixia

Unlock Ixia’s 1st Skill first and upgrade it alongside Skill 2 accordingly, and Ultimate whenever available. Skill 1 upgrade should be prioritized as it is Ixia’s main damage skill.

Best Emblem set and Spells for Ixia in Mobile Legends

Emblem Setup

To effectively play Ixia in the Gold lane, players are expected to use the Custom Marksman Emblem alongside whichever Talent best suits such player’s gameplay. However, we’ve brought up some of the best Emblem/Talent Set-up that is advisable to be used for Ixia:

Custom Marksman Emblem for Ixia

The Custom Marksman Emblem ever since its Revamp, provides players with access to 3 different talents. Hence, for New Hero Ixia Emblem Set-up, the following setup is expected of players:

  • In the First Talent, we choose Swift as it provides extra attack Speed mostly useful for Early game Farming and domination
  • In the Second Tier Talent, players can pick Bargain Hunter for a reduction in the price of equipment, hence making it easier to purchase equipment and start dominating easily on the battlefield. Instead of this, players could also use the Pull Yourself Together Talent as it reduces the cooldown of battle spells and equipment active skills by 15%, so spells like Inspire or equipment like Wind of Nature would have an even lower CD.
  • In the Third Tier Talent, players can pick Weakness Finder as it provides a high chance to reduce enemies’ movement and attack speed, making it very useful against high attack speed enemies. Instead of this, Players could pick Quantum Charge as it provides a movement speed boost and Regen on dealing damage with Basic attacks within a short period of time, this could further increase Ixia’s Regen from her passive.

Battle Spells

  • As a Marksman Hero with a high Burst Damage and Regen Potential, players are advised to use Battle Spells like Inspire as it greatly enhances the next few Basic attacks while also providing extra basic attack Regen whilst the spell lasts.
  •  Another Spell that Players could use is Flicker as it allows Ixia to reposition herself whilst she’s using Skills like her ultimate ability which when active, prevents movement. In other words, Ixia possesses a Stationary Ultimate ability just like Yve Ultimate.

Best Builds for Ixia in Mobile Legends

Ixia is a marksman who relays on fast attack speed to burst down enemies so one of the most advised builds to use for her is the Attack Speed Trinity Build which consists of Demon Hunter Sword, Corrosion Scythe, and Golden Staff. We have set out the following template in our guide to try out with Ixia on the Mobile Legends battlefield.

Players can at first proceed with Swift Boots for Early game extra attack speed then follow up with second equipment, Corrosion Scythe. This item is quite important as it provides a lot of extra attack speed as well as a unique passive that slows down enemies, hence making it easier to hit enemies and reduce their chances of fleeing.

The next item should be Demon Hunter Sword which provides extra Attack Speed and some bits of Lifesteal. However, the most important use of this equipment is the unique passive which deals extra damage based on how high the enemy’s HP is. Hence, it is one useful item in bursting down high-hp Tank or Fighter role heroes.

Following up this equipment with Golden Boots grants extra attack speed while completing rendering the hero unable to deal critical damage. However, the unique passive of this item is that the passive of Attack equipment like Demon Hunter and Corrosion Scythe are buffed and are triggered on every 3x basic attacks. Making it very easy to burst down and slow down enemy targets easily.

Players could consider using Wind of Nature if enemies have high Burst Physical Damage Assassins or Marksman, just to give the upper hand and guarantee durability during an encounter. However, if the main problem amongst the enemy team is one who deals with Burst Magic Damage, players could opt for Rose Gold Meteor. Following up with Malefic Roar would help provide the Physical Damage Penetration needed to burst down enemy targets.

Mobile Legends Ixia Gameplay Tips

Ixia is a unique marksman role hero with high Regen and damage ability. She is quite strong and should be able to outplay most Marksman heroes in the early game hero, thanks to her damage and Regen abilities. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Mobile Legends Joy guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late gameplay of Ixia.

Early Game

In the Early Game, it is advisable to go to the Gold Lane as it would enable Ixia to farm easily due to the extra Gold gained there. Whilst in the Gold lane, players can unlock the First Skill and use it to deal damage to enemies in a straight line. The First Skill greatly helps in clearing minion waves, but one must put in mind that the First Skill deals double the damage if enemies are hit by both beams.

On unlocking her Second Skill, Players can use it to deal damage to enemies whilst also pulling enemies to the Center. This skill can be used alongside the enemies to pull them to the center then use the First Skill to deal damage to enemy targets in a straight line. Players can perform the following skill to gain an upper hand on the battlefield:

Skill 2 + Skill 1 +Basic Attacks

Mid Game

On farming well and getting the first equals Corrosion Scythe. Ixia would be able to deal high damage as her attack speed is quite high thanks to the large attack speed buff offered by Corrosion Scythe. Ixia Ultimate ability on being unlocked should be used mainly when your Team has started to engage enemies or when your tank is near to protect or mainly when enemy heroes are fleeing from the battlefield.

You could also use the Ultimate ability of Ixia to help your allies to zone the Turtle and thus further ensure your teammates take the turtle or any other main Objectives. Players can do the following combo on the MLBB battlefield to gain an advantage:

Skill 2 + Skill 1 + Skill 3 + (Basic Attacks + Skill 2 + Skill 1) whilst Skill 3 is active

Late Game

This is the point of the game where players need to be aware of their positioning and timing. After getting their hands on a few of her core equipment Ixia can deal insane amounts of damage to the enemies thanks to her first skill double damage. With a good tank engaged for Ixia, she can absolutely destroy the enemies from the backline, and using her long-ranged Ultimate, enemies within the zone can easily be wiped out.

But to even further maximize Ixia’s damage output, Players could go with Yve as the Mage Role Hero, as her ultimate ability can also Zone enemy heroes in an even larger zone. Ixia can also steal objectives like Lord with an exceptionally timed use of her ultimate ability as well as good Tank engage.

If your team is in a lead with most of the enemies’ turrets taken down, it’s best to freeze lanes such that enemies can’t kill the minions to get gold. In the Late Game, Players are advised to avoid soloing to prevent being Ganked up in lanes as she doesn’t really have an escape ability.

Final Thoughts

Ixia is a marksman and is known for her massive damage and great sustainability. Ixia mainly deals physical damage while holding the bot or gold lane.
